After surviving the incidents in Barrow, Alaska, Stella Olemaun relocates to Los Angeles, where she intentionally attracts the attention of the local vampire population in order to avenge the deaths of those in her town.

I actually really enjoyed this when I saw it like three years ago but it was nowhere near as good as the first. I'll still be showing this to Robby soon though.

Poster looks like a videogame. I like the tagline, didn't know there was a sequel to 30 Days of Night

I didn't either till I saw it in the five dollar bin at Walmart like 3 months after the DVD was released. Never heard of it or anything which was weird.

I thought this was good, but I never rewatch it even though I've watched the first one a few times since this one came out.

This turned out to be a surprisingly enjoyable effort, though it has some flaws. The positives are mostly due to an extreme amping up of gore here which makes for some incredibly messy scenes including several raids on vampire hideouts, a ton of shootouts and even a lot of great messy kills on both species, which makes for some great times. The extra layer to their society explored here makes for some creepy moments and even makes them a lot more intelligent than previously thought, which is helped along by the nice detail given in the story as well as the action scenes throughout, though it could use a bit more explanation as to what happened amongst the group which just seems a little short and not all that detailed. Overall, a great sequel and definitely worthwhile.

Some people are like slinkies: not good for anything, but you can't help but laugh when one falls down the stairs.

I watched this for the October Challenge, and while it had some redeeming value (most notably the gore and the action scenes), it had nothing on the original. Maybe it's because I also just watched the first two Blade films for the OC, but I was quite unimpressed watching this. The cast was pretty terrible, with the two leads being the worst of the bunch and leaving me with an awful first impression. It lacked the visual style of either the first film or the graphic novel, which helped carry that film even during its slow-moving second act. It wasn't a complete waste of my time, but it was just very, very mediocre.

My full review is here.
