Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Ten stories will be woven together by their shared theme of Halloween night in an American suburb, where ghouls, imps, aliens, and axe murderers appear for one night only to terrorize unsuspecting residents.

There's a live tweet going on right now with many of the creators

After thinking about it, I think the reason I didn't like The Weak and The Wicked all that much is that it felt like a mix of A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night and Bonestorm (from V/H/S: Viral), but it used the worst things about both of them.

My review is the last one on the previous page in case no one saw it before it got buried. (lol) But I'll spoiler tag it here too;

Bad Seed - Okay so I really think this should've been the wraparound story since it's the only one to have characters spending time talking about what was going on around the town. The killer pumpkin thing was funny but really, really stupid and a piss poor way to end the film imo. Yay for Kristina Klebe though!

Mike Mendez said in the live tweet that it was planned to be more of a wraparound but it was too costly.

This was a very enjoyable film, but yes. I agree with everyone that it should've had a wraparound story. It sucks they couldn't afford it.

I just watched this and am even more disappointed with it than Holidays, which I just had more fun with. None of the segments really hit their marks for me but Trick, which really is a shame because of the talent behind everything.

It sure as hell is not the greatest horror anthology since Trick R' Treat for me.

That's a shame you didn't like it much. I loved this, to be honest.

I had no idea that Neil Marshall and Axelle Carolyn were married. She directed Grim Grinning Ghost. I remember when she used to do reporting for horror websites.

Well, shit. Wikipedia says they're getting divorced, but their source is from 2010, which can't be right.
