Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

My favorite CREEPSHOW segment is "Something To Tide You Over".

Been a little while since I last watched CAMPFIRE STORIES. It has Jamie-Lynn Sigler from SOPRANOS, and David Johansen from the TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE MOVIE playing the host Ranger Bill. Two segments about psycho killers, and one involves Native mystical ghost magic whatever crap. It's apparently based on a comic book that only lasted one issue. Ouch.

Nice!!!

You're kinda grabbin' me here with David Johansen 'cause I'm a New York Dolls fan. I looked it up and it's got a LOW rating, so I'm gonna avoid it lol Thanks

I really like V/H/S, Creepshow, Cat's Eye (the smoking segment and building segment<3), Hallows Eve, and The Theatre Bizarre. There's a few others I like but those are my main favorites.

The ABCs Of Death 1 and 2 were mostly satisfying, I thought.

It's insanely hard to go against CreepShow, so I'll throw my love behind a couple others including Shock-O-Rama, The Telling, Tales from the Crypt, Torture Garden and Dr. Terror's House of Horrors.

Can't really think of a bad one, though Fright Night Files did have problems with nearly every single entry so maybe that one or Tales from the Hood.

Some people are like slinkies: not good for anything, but you can't help but laugh when one falls down the stairs.

Yeah, I don't care for Tales From The Hood all that much either. It had its moments though.

Yeah, but that's not exactly a ringing endorsement for me when the best I can say about it is that 'it has it's moments.' If I say something like that then it's probably not a good thing.

Also, I totally forgot this the last time around but I utterly hated the two Chiller anthology installments Chilling Visions. Part 1, 5 Senses of Fear was an utterly travesty with cliched turns, barely-horror themes and just-plain boring segments while Part 2, 5 States of Fear was plagued by nearly the exact same flaws. Both were absolute pieces of dreck that might make it onto my lists for next year's installments if I can see more films this time around.

Cat's Eye was a favorite of mine growing up, but I don't know if I would call it a favorite of mine nowadays. It's definitely not among my least favorites though. Anymore, when I think about it, I find myself liking Quitters, Inc. the most out of the three stories, not my childhood favorite with the cat and the troll.

Another anthology movie I need to rewatch is Trick 'r Treat. Someday. (coffee)

Favorites:
- Definitely Creepshow and the Tales from the Crypt movie from the '70s (admittedly, I like anything Amicus put out, anthology-wise, but not nearly as much as Tales from the Crypt)

- I like Creepshow 2 as well

- Tales from the Hood

- Tales from the Darkside: The Movie

- Black Sabbath

- Kwaidan

- Twilight Zone: The Movie

- Twice-Told Tales

- XX (which really surprised me)

Least Favorites:
- The ABCs of Death

- I'm not that big of a fan of Dead of Night, despite it being a classic

- Campfire Tales

- Waxworks ('24)

I wish I could put Creepshow 3 on here, but I just don't want to see it. At all.

I was underwhelmed by both Body Bags and Two Evil Eyes, to be honest. Although, I did enjoy Body Bags more.
