Simple. What are some films that have either never been released on DVD or Blu Ray, or got shafted by getting a crappy barebones edition, that you feel are deserving of getting the deluxe edition treatment?

Friday The 13th Part VII HAS a deluxe edition that has 1 or 2 commentaries, making ofs, all that stuff...
I think it's got extended footage, but does anyone know it's the complete uncut version? The way people talk, part 7 must have been gory as all hell.
Nope and its been confirmed that we will NEVER get an uncut edition, which is why I wish fans would stop getting so angry about the 2009 deluxe edition not having the extended cut. The footage is heavily damaged and has no sound at all for the most part. :P

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation
A Special Editon or Blu-Ray needs to be the full uncut version and packed with features, including commentaries and/or interviews with Renee Zellweger and Matthew McConaughey, and other cast members. Director and Producer commentary, behind the scenes footage, a Gallery including "Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre" posters and trailers.

What out of print movies do you wish would come back or be rerelease on blu ray.

Personally, I can't believe how difficult it is to find a good copy of Suspiria or Phantasm in the stores.

I've found copies of the Phantasms without much problem. I just had to order most of them online. I got Suspiria as a present one Christmas (2011, I think) and I have NO idea where my mom managed to find it.

I wish they'd make more copies of the House On Sorority Row Blu-ray from 2014 and some of the Scream Factory releases that are somewhat hard to find (or are really pricey) now. I am still waiting for a really good Fade To Black DVD. Moonstalker and some other random 80s horrors could use better BluRays/DVDs as well.

Same. Some of the best DVDs/BluRays I've gotten lately have come from them.

Non-horror, but how the hell did Dragon Dynasty pass on the Jackie Chan feature Dragons Forever? That one should've been one of their first releases and the options for special features here are dynamite:
-Bey Logan and/or Brett Ratner Commentary track.
-A Roundtable interview with Jackie, Sammo and Yuen to get them all back together talking about their lives growing up together, how they broke into the HK kung-fu industry and how their careers have fared. I'm thinking at least 30-40 minutes here, but I'll sit and listen to them for hours on such matters if necessary.
-An interview with Benny Urquidez discussing his performance in the film's final fight scene with Jackie and how it lead to a famous career as a martial arts instructor.
-A retrospective on why this film means as much as it does in the cannon of all three lead performers all spiced up with clips from their other films to show how their career has come along since.

I'd actually pay money to put that release together under that logo.

As for true horror films, I'd love a true retrospective of Deep Rising with commentary, interviews and more. Likewise, if that recent Halloween extravaganza that was released on Blu-Ray went to DVD I'd certainly not complain.

I can actually see Deep Rising getting a special edition from Scream Factory or something. After all, Lake Placid and Ginger Snaps just got them and I'm sure they have/will come out with releases for other 90s/2000s films.

Deep Rising might be too big a title for them, they seem more underground and on the fringes of the more popular titles. I see them being more specialists in the 70s-90s of underground works, not so much pop-culture horror like that. Maybe a Blu-Ray release which would piss me off to no end.

I suppose. <_>

Home Sweet Home (1981) is another I want a DVD of though I'm starting to not care if it's a special edition. All I know is that I am sick of watching it on Youtube every Thanksgiving!

Okay, this isn't specifically directed at one movie in particular but more at a general practice:

For me, I'd like to have new editions put out that replace my old 'snapper-case' style of DVD with the more conventional and storage-friendly 'jewel-case' style. They fit on my shelf a lot better and I'm scared of breaking open the plastic snap case to get to the DVD inside.

My pet peeve is when the hubs are either too flimsy or so strong that you feel like you're going to break the disc getting it out of the case. It stresses me out so much when I order an import DVD and it arrives with the disc rattling around in the case because it came off the hub.

Yeah, that's what I was talking about. That's a 'snapper-case' type of packaging. Ones that don't are 'jewel-case' packaging.

Even worse off, I've had that on regular DVDs I bought at the store still in their shrink-rap and you hear the DVD rattling around inside the case. That's happened a couple times, and thankfully none of them ended up damaged or broken, but man is it stressful when that happens.

Black Sabbath

Someone needs to figure out the legal stuff to get both versions of the movie in the same release.

There's at least 3 I know of:

One released by Image:
http://www.filmaf.com/search.html?has=003327&init_form=str0_has_003327

One by Anchor Bay:
http://www.filmaf.com/search.html?has=098336&init_form=str0_has_098336

^^which coincidentally was also released as part of this box set:

http://www.filmaf.com/search.html?has=046687&init_form=str0_has_046687

As well as another stand-alone re-issue from Anchor Bay:
http://www.filmaf.com/search.html?has=102401&init_form=str0_has_102401

Lastly, there's also a version released by Kino Releasing:
http://www.filmaf.com/search.html?has=198150&init_form=str0_has_198150

Plus, you also have two Blu-Ray versions. This one from Anchor Bay which paired it with Black Sunday:
http://www.filmaf.com/search.html?has=228273&init_form=str0_has_228273

As well as this one coming out in August:
http://www.filmaf.com/search.html?has=242548&init_form=str0_has_242548

Now the ones I've heard of from those who picked it up was that the Anchor Bay box-set was the one to get, but if that was a little pricey go for their stand-alone re-issue. That was what I heard was the ones to get for this, although that new Blu-Ray could be the one if I can get a hold of the special features for it.

There's the AIP American version and the Italian version. I think the Italian version is better, but Karloff's voice is dubbed. Arrow did a very nice release with both, but it isn't available in the US. If you want both to be able to play on a US dvd player, you have to get two copies. Anchor Bay and Kino have both claimed that their releases were going to have both but backed out at the last minute.

The ideal solution would be for someone to take Karloff's dialogue from the American version and use the Italian version for everything else, but that will probably never happen.

Valentine needs a fucking unrated blu-ray collector's edition. It should've gotten one in 2011 for a ten-year anniversary. It just sucks that it was so poorly recieved. It's a damn fine slice of pretty slasher ass.

The Tenant

I'm guessing that all the companies are waiting for Roman Polanski to die so they can release a fancy set of the Apartment Trilogy.
