Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

What are the best movies you watched for the first time in 2014? This includes all years.

I watched Curtains, Demons 1 &2, Funhouse and Phantom of the Paradise for the first time this year. They're all quite good and their blu Ray transfers look great!

I'm just excluding the new releases. I'll copy my list over here once I'm less tired of 2014.

Watching the new release of Curtains was such a big improvement over the old one that I want to count it.

The Hunger
The Sadist
Midnight Ballad for Ghost Theater
Targets
The Old Dark House (1932)
Haunter
In My Skin
Goth
The Frightened Woman
White: The Melody of the Curse
13 Ghosts (1960)

Apparently, I had pretty good luck with foreign movies and classics this year.

I recently bought The Hunger. I'm really torn about it, though. I love David Bowie, but vampire movies I can take em or leave them.
