![]() Mia Medina (Michelle Ang) has finally found the perfect subject for her PhD thesis film on Alzheimer’s Disease. For the next several months, cameras will record the everyday life of mother Deborah Logan (Jill Larson) and her daughter, Sarah (Anne Ramsay). But as the days progress, strange things begin to happen around Deborah that are not consistent with any findings about Alzheimer’s. It becomes apparent that there’s something besides Alzheimer’s that has taken control of Deborah’s life. It’s an evil that is far worse than the debilitating disease with which she was first diagnosed. |

I don't know how it works either, but they've accidentally released stuff before or things have ended up being accidentally left up that was supposed to go off. I enjoyed it. The movie kept me pretty anxious. I was definitely more concerned for Deb than I am for the typical possessed teenage girl that barely physically changes. Spoiler: click to toggle I liked that they didn't bother with casting unknowns. Anne Ramsay plays one of the leads, and I don't think it hurt the movie at all to have a recognizable face in it. Her character was really sympathetic, and I think having her be played by a talented actress really helped the movie. Jill Larson and Ryan Cutrona were both really good, too. The story behind the possession works pretty good. It might have been better if it wasn't delivered in such an exposition heavy way, but I guess it works with the format. I don't love the ending, but there were some really good scares towards the end.Spoiler: click to toggle

I was worried about that too, especially after the only review I've seen didn't have anything nice to say about it. I liked it, though. |

Yeah, no guilt whatsoever that i'll be watching this soon. If I like it as much as I hope I will, I'll be buying the DVD anyway. |

A few minutes into it and it's reminding me a lot of Grey Gardens (which is never a bad thing.) |

^ Which is something I don't know much about, admittedly. But if Grey Gardens is good I may have to check it out (but not for another week so I don't break my 'horror movie schedule' I have going on ).

I don't think the Netflix version is the final cut of the movie. There are things from the trailer that are missing. |

Alright, this was pretty good but I'm going to wait for the theatrical/DVD version to give my final opinion because the Netflix version seemed like a rough cut. |

I was doing some gif making since the boards were down, and I hadn't noticed that Spoiler: click to toggle I hadn't noticed that the first time. It was a nice touch. It definitely helps tie that scene to the rest of the film.

The cover of the DVD (identical to the poster) actually looks better than the poster for some reason. I'm probably going to be buying this shortly. I definitely plan on seeing it again and I'm curious about the special features. |

I tweeted about wondering if the bumped up DVD release had anything to do with the Netflix leak and one of the exec producers favorited it. |

Yeah, I was totally surprised to see the DVD at WalMart and FYE already. I figured the Netflix thing was a goof but they were still going to wait to release the DVD. I guess it's smart of them to release the DVD this month though so they can still see a profit before e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e sees it on Netflix first. |

Haha, it's fine. I just merged the two. I agree that even though, like you said, paranormal and found footage have been done to death but this still managed to be pretty original and just...really good, lol. |
