A teenage girl in the Midwest becomes infected by an outbreak of a disease that slowly turns the infected into cannibalistic zombies. During her transformation, her loving father stays by her side.

Worldwide; $1,086,851

Depending on how many theaters it was in, that's either fairly decent or extremely terrible.

Found this on Hulu Plus today. Going to watch it either tonight or tomorrow sometime.

Apparently Arnold Schwarzenegger took no money for his role because he loved the script so much. Read that on IMDb. The movie was good. Slow going, but great character piece. Pleasant departure from most zombie films. Abigail Breslin hits it out of the park, as does Schwarzenegger. I would definitely recommend seeing this one.

It was a wonderful zombie film. My favorite of the year is still Scouts Guide, because I'm a sucker for teen comedies with hearts of gold, but this really IS an excellent character film. Arnold and Abigail both do fantastically in their roles.

I'm glad to know he took no money for it. I love when actors, even HUGE A-listers do that... They love a film so much that they are willing to make art without any payoff. They make a film because it's a film worth making and don't care that they're not really monetarily benefitting from it. They're benefitting from it by making art, by making something that they really appreciate and find important.
