Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

My favorites that are available on VOD or DVD are Girl House, Digging Up the Marrow, The Voices, and Spring.

I didn't totally love Lost River, but it's worth a watch. It's definitely the prettiest movie I've seen this year.

Der Samurai

It's not one of my favorites of the year, but it's definitely one of the most interesting. Not enough people are seeing it.

^ I'm glad you mentioned The Voices. That was one of the best horror-esque dark comedies since American Psycho.

I want to see this before October ends but I cannot find it online and I really don't want to drive a hour away to see it alone.

The Boy
Goodnight Mommy

Saw both tonight and they're two of the best of the year imo. They actually go together perfectly, which I hadn't even expected.

Cub

I mentioned it before, but it's a solid slasher and I'm surprised it hasn't been watched by more people.

When you skip #Horror, watch The Falling instead. The second choice would be Sisterhood of the Night.

Maybe Crimson Peak, but I could see people being disappointed by it. I just love Guillermo del Toro movies though.

Maybe The Funhouse Massacre as well.
