Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

INSANELY rare since pretty much every series has its ups and downs, but I'm sure some exist. List them off here.

Sleepaway Camp; if you forget about 4 and Return.

Yeah: there's a reason they have their ups and downs, Firefly. Because they're all made by completely different people. And usually never in a frequency of greater than 1-per year for 3 years.

And they're films. Not TV shows.

Cherry nailed the idea of this thread, though- Sleepaway Camp 2 and 3 were made by the exact same people.

Which just goes to prove my point.

I think [REC] and Underworld franchise have gotten better as they went along.

^ I'd agree with you on [Rec] if not for the fact that Rec 3 was a bit of a step down from the first two.

I'd also go with Saw IF you want to just count the original trilogy. Counting the entire series though? LolNO.

Sleepaway Camp for sure, if you remove The Survivor and Return.

Can't you see it? The effects of cinema violence on society?

Even then, I prefer 2 over 3. (lol) Switch those (probably not possible but oh well) and I'd agree.

Franchises are hard. I'm switching to thinking about series. There's a couple that are just waiting for their third entry, like The Purge and Benevolence/Malevolence.

Even though I would absolutely not agree with it, what about I Spit on Your Grave?

I'm even more mad than usual about the existence of I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer.

Don't feel bad. I'm mad about the existence of Child's Play 3 and Seed Of Chucky as well as the existence of Land, Diary and Survival Of The Dead (even if I like Land a lot).

I'm too lazy to log into her account, but SteelersFan wants to suggest Jeepers Creepers.

Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky brought the Chucky franchise into pure brilliance.

But anyways. Sleepaway Camp, The Purge, Pet Sematary, Hannibal series (I like Hannibal and Red Dragon and Hannibal Rising more than Silence and Manhunter.), GhostWatcher, etc.

I would have to say Hatchet maybe. In all honesty, I would love for all of the movies to be cut together as one; despite recasting Marybeth. Even Victor Crowley, as much as it doesn't follow the same formula as each of its predecessors' openings.

[REC] isn't a bad choice either for this topic. Even with 3.
