Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Three scouts, on the eve of their last camp-out, discover the true meaning of friendship when they attempt to save their town from a zombie outbreak.

Wasn't this called something else at some point or are there randomly multiple boy scout themed Horror movies coming out this year?

Ah. Good. I'm glad they changed the title since Scouts Vs Zombies is super generic.

I thought it sounded familiar, so I read the imdb page before making the thread. It wouldn't be that unlikely for there to be competing movies about scouts fighting zombies.

If this ends up going to theaters (can't remember if it is or not) I'm SURE we'll get at least two direct-to-DVD knockoffs.

Please don't let this be some lame comedy that would've been better served played straight. If this is a straightforward effort I'm into this, but if this is a comedy I have my trepidations.
Do illiterate people get the full effect of alphabet soup?

Some people are like slinkies: not good for anything, but you can't help but laugh when one falls down the stairs.

Added a poster

I'm really surprised that I've already seen an advertisement for this on television.

Same! I saw one during Scream the other night and Robby pretty much drooled over it. (lol)

Everyone that I've talked to about it has been excited about it, but I'm not all that enthusiastic. I guess I might just be still burnt out from all the other horror comedies.

I'm definitely going to see it as soon as it comes out but if not for Robby, I probably wouldn't be in a hurry.

I really hope that's the DVD case artwork as well as the poster that's used the most often. I don't HATE the others but they're not as good.

Oh there's also this which sounds cool;

The only poster I saw before now was the Swiss army knife one. It's hanging at a nearby movie theater, so I can definitely say it's playing there. The trailer looks funny, if kind of juvenile, so I'm probably gonna check this out.

I do prefer the Mondo-style poster, though.

My local theater has started playing the trailer, so I'm really hoping it means we're getting it. It's something I want to see on the big screen

This looks like a lot of fun, I really hope it comes here. The island hasn't been very lucky in getting horror movies that I want to see.

So I saw this last night, and my initial assessment of "funny, but juvenile" was on point. It's the sort of movie I'd imagine playing better on VOD/home video than in theaters, and I honestly think Paramount should've foregone a theatrical release altogether rather than giving it a smaller one before it came out on home video. It's a movie to watch with your buddies with a bunch of drinks, or to "Netflix and chill" with. It's really dumb and immature, more sex jokes and blood splattering everywhere than anything, but I wasn't bored.

My full review is here.

Oh, and time to move this to the Zombies section.
