Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

What are some of your favorite cannibal movies?

I'm assuming you mean Jungle-Cannibal films not just anything with a cannibal in it.

Even still, though, regardless of what you mean it's simply Cannibal Holocaust.

Since I have Photoshop open right now making gifs of Manhunter and the most recent episode of Hannibal and this is a regular occurance, I think I have to go with all movies involving Hannibal Lector. I might say something else later, but it seems silly when I'm in the middle of a pretty big Hannibal Lector obsession.

I'm mainly meaning jungle cannibal films (Cannibal Ferox, Mountain Of The Cannibal God, Cannibal Holocaust, etc.) but I suppose anything can go here. :P I'll probably just list off jungle-cannibal films I really like since it'd be a time consuming bitch listing off all of the 'anywhere'-cannibal films I like.

Actually my reasoning for assuming it was 'Jungle-Cannibal' in the first place. (cheers)

As far as Jungle-Cannibal films go, I'm not that big of a fan. The Green Inferno was good, despite some flaws. I haven't seen many though, to be honest. Cannibal Holocaust is overrated, IMO.

Other cannibal films:
We Are What We Are (original)
Raw
Delicatessen
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original)
Society
Cannibal! The Musical

I want to give Ravenous another chance. It was too weird for me the first time, but maybe the second time I'll enjoy it more.

I would say The Silence of the Lambs, but it's not really a cannibal movie. Despite Hannibal Lector.
