Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

When a renegade band of young filmmakers break into an abandoned hospital to make their horror epic, they stumble upon a real dead body and decide to use it in their movie. They accidentally bring it back to life, open a portal to a dead world that releases dozens of other zombies, then struggle for their lives in a desperate attempt to flee from the creatures who apparently have them hopelessly trapped in the hospital.

I have this film and been ages since I last watched the dvd but I know alot of people hate on it but from what I recall I enjoyed it for what it was. I knew going into it that the film was gonna be corny as hell but I liked it and would give it a 5/10 rating.

Leave it to Rip to find something enjoyable about a steaming pile o' poo. (grin)

I remember when this flick first came out, and just about every fan on every horror board I visted had nothing but bad things to say about it. And they were all right. Awful movie; makes The Video Dead look like a masterpiece in comparison. IMO the only half-decent thing about it is the casting of Matthew McGrory (RIP), who also appeared as Tiny in House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects. By all accounts he was a total sweetheart. Had I been him, I'd have stricken this turd from my filmography.

I used to always think the cover of the movie looked like a demonic chicken monster thing.

I still have the DVD but I only saw it once in the early 2000s. I remember some lousy CGI fire near the end and it having a The Beyond style ending where it wasn't sure what was gonna happen next.

I love this movie!! So much fun. Probably the best thing Full Moon has released since the glory days.
