Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

The outback once more becomes a place of horror as another unwitting tourist becomes the prey for crazed, serial-killing pig-shooter Mick Taylor.

Aussies are SO lucky that they can already see this lol. Kind of nervous though since apparently it upped the amount of humor, Freddy Krueger style. >_>

Who thought it would though? It's a sequel to a foreign horror flick released five years ago and it hasn't been getting as much attention as the average horror flick. I only expect like 20 theaters total.

Ehh true. The first made 16 million in the U.S. BUT it has a pretty large number of fans here who would go see it. At worst, it'd make like 30 million, I bet. And the first was released nine years ago ;o

At BEST it'd make 30 million over here. If it got a wide release I would only expect like $20 million. I hope it's doing good in Australia though. I think Hal saw it. (goo)

Well the first only made $11,000,000 in countries OTHER than the U.S. (where it was the most successful) so... :P I don't know. I still wish this would get a decent release here. I have a feeling it deserves it. if The Collection could get one (and make like $11,000,000) they should do it for this as well. (thumbsdown)

They need to hurry up and release this. I want to do a double feature of this and the original. I haven't seen the original since 2007 but I have the DVD.

I'm really glad that this film has all three backpackers being attacked by Mick unlike the first one where Mick stalked the two girls and kept the guy saved up for later and he got away. I also wonder how in the world Mick would be able to get a huge truck to drive itself off a mountain and blow up without him inside...

It was even better than the first. One kill actually made me cover my eyes due to utter brutality. The acting from the main villain was charmingly intimidating and sadistic. The direction and locations were also amazing. 9/10

(goo) WOO! Surprised lol. They didn't go all Freddy-Krueger-lame with the amount of humor did they? (wary) That's my main concern. How's the bodycount?

*sigh* The ending was total crap but the fact that people are rating this lower than a 6 depresses me. The main actor was fantastic and the film was brutal as hell. Not as good as the first but is anything these days? I expected worse.
