Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

The title's pretty self-explanatory. We already have a thread for posting our favorites.

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension
"For the first time, you will see the activity."

I can't decide if this one is so bad it's good or if it's just bad:
Garden of the Dead: "Death was the only living thing!"

Not a tagline per se, but I remember renting Dolly Dearest years ago and there was some praise for it on it; goodbye Chucky, hello Dolly.

Lol, making fun of another series to praise itself, while shamelessly making a reference to that very series with its actual tagline; for Dolly, killing adults is child's play.

"Evil Rises" - Darkness Falls.

So cheesy. Beyond belief.

Always thought Halloween's tagline should have been the night nobody came home.

^ You must really hate that one because it's the second time you've mentioned it in this thread. (troll)

I remember they did wind up using that for Halloween III: Season of the Witch. But then again, as far as many fans are concerned, that film doesn't exist.

One poster for a film I can't exactly remember (I think it was Shredder, the ski resort slasher from 2003, but I'm not 100% sure) had the tagline "Icy Dead People". So bad, yet so perfect.

loloops. D: It's pretty lame, though.

"Evil has a destiny" and "family is forever."

"For the first time, you will see the activity."

That's absolutely terrible!

^ It really, truly IS abysmal.

Lol in 1999/2000, I seem to remember a few horror films trying so hard to make themselves seem scarier than Blair Witch, because it was so well-received. There was one, The St. Francisville Experiment, which was NOT a bad movie, but its tagline was "This Ain't No Walk In The Woods!" I really get annoyed when horror films take digs at other horror films, especially like that. :P

A couple weeks back at trivia there was a category for Hitchcock movies based on their taglines. Talk about the most generic taglines ever. I mean, it was so hard to figure out which tagline belonged to which movie of his. I hope to never come across a category like that in trivia ever again.
