![]() At a local Catholic school, the nuns have noticed that the priest is doing more than just leading his students in prayer. Not content to stand idly by as evil walks their halls, the Sisters decide to take action. Confronted by the nuns about his wicked ways, the priest retaliates. For defying him, the Father takes the Sisters hostage and bricks them into the walls of the school's basement. The sadistic and fatal punishment shakes the faith of the women, forcing them to renounce their holy vows in the moments before their demise. How could they continue to believe in a power that would allow them to suffer such a fate when they were merely trying to do what's right? Decades later, the school is now vacated and in a state of disrepair. Selected by the community as a building marked for urban renewal, a neighborhood youth group has volunteered their afternoon to come clean up the premises and prepare it for construction. However, when the motley crew accidentally uncovers the blasphemous tomb in the basement, the nuns return...and Hell follows. Trapped inside the building, the members of the youth group fight for their lives to flee the wronged nuns, who now lurk the halls as damned Sisters of perdition. All the while, the school itself starts twisting and distorting, becoming a mad nightmare that just may prove to be a gateway to a world beyond. With blood on their hands and revenge on their minds, the nuns won't stop until they have...FLESH FOR THE INFERNO! |

Have I ever talked about how much I like nunsploitation? I definitely support someone getting nostalgic for those. |

^ You need to see The Convent. Though this is likely a better movie than that. |

I'm sure it will be. I've been deliberately avoiding that. I'm actually looking forward to this. |

I got excited for a second when I saw 'Jamie Lyn' in the cast because I thought for a moment that it was Jamie Lynn Sigler but nope. |

Fun fact: I spent my freshman year of high school attending a Catholic school that was shut down at the end of the year, and which was partly built around a creepy old mansion that was reputed to be haunted. It even had an old conservatory that was overgrown when I attended (which has since been bulldozed). The site was never abandoned, though; instead, the diocese repurposed the main buildings into a missionary/evangelism center, while the town took over the sports fields for its own local schools. So yeah, a Catholic school horror movie does hold some personal appeal to me. Plus, the poster for this looks amazing. If the film is even half that good, it'll be awesome. |

The trailer has me a little nervous. It looks cheap in a bad way. I'll still watch it soon though. |

I didn't notice before, but it's a Richard Griffin movie. His obsession with people being accused of being gay shows up in this movie, so I had to check to see if it was him. I want to know what his deal is with that, because it is a weird thing for people to be able to recognize you from. Grading on that curve, it's good. I was a little worried when the first scenes were pretty serious, because that is usually a bad sign with him, but it ended up having a nice amount of humor. His movies never actually make me laugh, but it made for a pleasant random movie to watch on Amazon Prime. He landed his references well. The plot is mostly really dumb, but he pulled off making it look like it was dumb on purpose. The 80s slasher to nunsploitation ratio isn't what I was hoping for. I wasn't too disappointed, because he did do a decent job of merging them together. I can also appreciate that he has done nunsploitation enough times that he'll probably get it just right eventually. He casts the same people all the time, and I think they're growing on me through repetition. I think he should know enough people by now to be able to put a better cast together, but there are a few good performances. |

Glad this was mostly good. I was kind of putting it off because I was afraid it'd be a total disappointment.
