Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Now that there's at least two of us with subscriptions, it could use a thread.

Amazon Prime tends to get a lot of the oldies.

I was already counting you. I hope there's a third one of us. There's a lot more hidden gems on Amazon than Netflix, but I feel like a big part of that is that it is impossible to find anything.

This is as much as I got listed before my internet connection decided it was time for me to go to bed:
Spring
Suburban Gothic
Treehouse
Avenged
Tusk
The House on Sorority Row
The House that Dripped Blood
Life After Beth
The Quiet Ones
Gremlins
The Butterfly Room
You're Next
Dumplings
X: The Man with the X-Ray Eyes
Leprechaun Origins
Borderland
Burn Witch Burn
Dolly Dearest
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
The Hamiltons
Fido
Black Sunday
Deadly Blessing
Inside
Shock
Cry of the Banshee
The Demon's Rook
Halloween 2007
Saw
The Blair Witch Project (and the sequel)
An American Werewolf in London
Eat
I Saw the Devil
The Fly 1958
Friday the 13th: The Series
The Woman in Black
Underworld Evolution
Ravenous
Silent Night, Bloody Night
Kill Baby Kill
Messiah of Evil
Hatchet for the Honeymoon
5 Dolls for an August Moon

I don't know if they have the entire series for any of these, but there are some Ju-On, The Omen, and Silent Night, Deadly Night movies.

Reading this list makes me happy. My mom is planning on splitting the yearly cost of Amazon Prime with me after I get back from PensaCon. I think it's roughly eighty bucks per year so I have no problem spending $40 on it. Between the free shipping and all of these movies available to watch on there, it's probably worth three times that amount.

They do have a good selection. Navigating it to find the stuff you want can be a real pain in the ass, though.

(un) at how hard it is to find good things because of the fact that like 75% of the selection = movies that you might find in one of those bad Midnight Horror collections at WalMart. Blergh. There needs to be a subgenre thing and maybe put movies like that in a section of their own, lol.

It is terrible. I've had better luck finding things by making sure to check IMDb when I'm looking up movies. If it's on Prime, it will say so towards the top of the page. I've had the links from IMDb not work, but they're on there when I search on Amazon.
