I checked XOD, and the first episode is up. I'll see it when I have the time.

I've yet to read many of the comics but that's still really cool.

I plan on binging season one after I watch the Scream Queens finale and the newest season of Survivor. (thumbsup)

I'm not anywhere near completely sold on the romantic subplots, but I'm liking them both more than I thought I would.

I buy Pablo/Kelly's... but where they're heading with Ash's, not so much. Great episode last night, my favourite so far, and I think things will really pick up once they're in the cabin.

Episode 8 did a good job imitating the direction of the first film.

The dialogue in this episode was especially snappy. I liked the entire scene with the two Ashes. Notorious C.A.T. and the bit about the stained glass window were both great.

Are we the only people keeping up with this? Haha.
I really enjoyed the dual Ash scenes as well. It really has come together quite nicely after some rocky moments, I'm excited to see what the finale has in store.

So I got a free week of STARZ stuff through Amazon's video services on my PS4, so I used it to binge-watch through the entire series. It's actually not that bad. If anything a little too slapstick for me (but not as bad as AoD.)

Quite honestly, a lot of the show reminds me of Lollipop Chainsaw. Just replace Juliet with Ash. Actually, it makes me want to replay through the entirety of LC with Juliet's Ash costume. I'm enjoying the show so far.

I liked the finale, too. The tone was a bit more serious, which I think still worked.

The creature designs are really good on the show. If they were to do a full Talking Dead style of show about making this instead of just the couple of minutes they've been doing, I'd happily watch it.

I'm halfway through the first season of the show. I'll watch the rest sometime this week. Possibly tomorrow.

As Lon already mentioned, this television series doesn't quite feel like it's a part of the Evil Dead movie series. Don't get me wrong, it's good in its own right, but not nearly as good or as fun, even though it is still fun watching Bruce and company doing their schtick.

I love seeing Lucy Lawless too (love)

Yeah, I thought the Cabin episode would harken back to how the first two Evil Dead movies felt, but it was more one liners and what not. I like the new characters, I just wish they had more to do and there was more meat to them. Less corn, more heart. Also, this is not the Ashley J. Williams I know. Too tongue-in-cheek for me. I know he kind of was like that in Army of Darkness, but not to this extent. Besides, that movie was a riff on old movies like Jason and the Argonauts. This . . . This is something else entirely. I'm sure there are fans of this show, but not me. I will say though that there are moments within each episode where you see that old magic, but as quickly as it appears it fades away. Can anyone tell me if Season 2 is any better? Such a letdown. I'm two episodes away from finishing the first season and I don't really care to, but I will for the completist in me's sake.
