A spacecraft travels to a distant planet to rescue the crew of another spaceship that crashed, but their own craft, damaged in the landing, needs repair. Baelon commands the rescue team formed of his rival Cabren, Alluma, Dameia, Quuhod and the rookie Cos. While looking for but not finding survivors from the former expedition, Cos is murdered; however, they cannot leave the planet due to a projected electromagnetic field. Commander Ilvar joins the team to search for the cause of the interference, while Captain Trantor, technician Ranger and cook Kore stay in the craft. One by one, rescue team members are killed in weird situations materialized from their own fears by an ancient alien pyramid.

This was alright I guess, but I doubt I'll ever watch it again. I really loved the look and feel of the whole thing though. It felt cold but some parts had a really suffocating 'warm' feel. Twas nice but certainly didn't save the movie. My FAVORITE thing about this is the fact that Robert Englund AND Sid Haig were in it. I didn't love either of them here but it was still cool seeing them together in a film from the very 80s.

For the most part, the characters really bored me and I don't even know why since they were given more interesting things to do than a lot of other early 80s scifi/horror characters. I wasn't bothered by the effects. Sure, some things looked rubbery and goofy but overall, I was surprised that so many parts of this LOOKED good. The death order was also surprising but I'm already starting to forget about some of the specific deaths after only a week between me watching this and me reviewing this. Not a good sign! Still, it was a decent enough watch and I didn't find myself distracted or checking to see how much time it had left so I guess I can say I recommend it. Sort of. (lol)

4.5/10 quality, 6/10 entertainment.

Sid Haig and Robert Englund was my favourite part about it as well. I'm surprised how far they went with copying H. R. Giger's style for some of the architecture and sets, which really makes it feel like an Alien knock off. All in all, it's a fun watch and worth it for the bizarre giant worm scene (That must've rustled some feathers in the 80s).
