I liked the book, and it's always enjoyable when the summary can only be a sentence long without giving away the entire plot of the movie.

I'm very excited about Glenn Close. She's perfect for the role.

I love Glenn Close. This sounds somewhat interesting but I'll have to know at least a little more before I start being excited about it, I guess. :P

I just remembered that the book's summary just described the first chapter or so:

Melanie is a very special girl. Dr. Caldwell calls her "our little genius."

Every morning, Melanie waits in her cell to be collected for class. When they come for her, Sergeant Parks keeps his gun pointing at her while two of his people strap her into the wheelchair. She thinks they don't like her. She jokes that she won't bite, but they don't laugh.

Melanie loves school. She loves learning about spelling and sums and the world outside the classroom and the children's cells. She tells her favorite teacher all the things she'll do when she grows up. Melanie doesn't know why this makes Miss Justineau look sad.

I always get excited when I find out Glenn Close is starring in something. She's wonderful.

I like the sound of this. I'll have to read the book first, of course.

I haven't read the book, but the plot of it does sound interesting. Between that and Glenn Close, I'm definitely ready to see this.

Glenn Close could make a film about wrapping turds in tinfoil and throwing them into microwaves a masterpiece.

But this sounds a lot better than a film with that plot, so I definitely am looking forward to it.

I'm honestly not sure if I should track down the book and read it first or if I should go ahead and just watch this first.

If you want to read the book, I'd do that first. The book spaces the reveals out a lot, so I don't think it would be as enjoyable after watching the movie.

I think I'll run over to Barnes & Noble tomorrow and pick up the book.

I'll probably just order my copy online. I'm really not sure why I'm so intrigued by this.

I blame Glenn.

Even though I have already read the book, I still don't want to watch the trailer. Based on the stills, Sennia Nanua looks exactly like I pictured Melanie.

I'm just under halfway through the book... and it's definitely got me wanting to see this. Seriously, if you haven't read the book, go to the nearest bookstore (or your e-reader) and buy it right now.

It's going to be on DirectTV on January 26th, probably. I don't expect DirectTV dates to not change randomly.
