Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

This is something that SteelersFan and I were doing, but thought that if two people were doing a challenge that it was enough for it to have a thread.

All you have to do is watch one movie from each year. It can be something you haven't seen before or something you're rewatching. The goal is to watch a wider variety of movies, so you only need to record one from each year. You do not need to do each year in order.

We plan on having our list start in the 1890s, so I thought it would be best to not have a list of years for people to fill out, since that would make this a really long thread.

We started a week or two ago. We're already doing an amazing job of not duplicating years and have watched four from 1967 since we started.

1944: The Uninvited
1967: Gruesome Twosome
1973: Ganja and Hess
1977: Rabid

I'm game for this, but I'll probably wait until after I see quite a few more 2015 horror films so I can cast some nominations for the Horror Madness polls.

I hope the 2015 awards don't flop, lol.

I'm definitely going to participate, starting now. I have a 2014 film and a 2015 film lined up for tonight.

Count me in, even though I'll be coming back to this after the site's awards season but there's no shame in getting one year knocked off:

Three down. ;) Watching two (maybe three) tonight so I'll have four or five years covered. I'll post my list once I hit the ten film mark.

I added eight movies from 1972 to mine and Vanessa's netflix list, so we're going to continue doing really good at this not repeating years thing.

We should make it so the 'winner' (or top three) gets a book or DVD chosen at random or something, lol. Mine is already getting somewhat long so I'll just spoilertag it. Also breaking it up decades and separating them so I don't repeat years too often. I'm only listing the first movie from each year that I've watched since March 15th or so.

I think it would end up being a problem that two of us are doing the same movies.

Well, now that I got the marathon out of the way, I can get back and finally start getting to this one like I said, and I love Baby Firefly's idea of spoiler tagging the list so as not to clutter this up too much:
