Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

A group of thieves find themselves trapped in a house they intended to rob, only to discover they’ve inadvertently wandered into the lair of a deranged serial killer. Forced now to navigate his sadistic torture den, will they survive?

First of all, I want to express my annoyance that this didn't come up in the search box, despite me knowing we had this thread (un)

Anyway, with that said, I liked this. I wasn't expecting a horror-comedy, but that's pretty much what it is. It get's a little predictable, but that's not always bad.

Plus with a title like 'Crush The Skull' it's pretty obvious someone is going to say that line towards the end of the movie, so I kind of rolled my eyes with that.

All the characters (minus the killer for obvious reasons) are pretty fun/funny, but Blair was my fav.

There's a few too many survivors for my taste (especially for such a small group), and I can't say I'm a huge fan of the ending, but that's not a huge complaint since I liked everything else about this, and I'd gladly watch it again *shrug*

This...sounds JUST like the upcoming Don't Breathe. (wary) And the poster makes me think of 10 Cloverfield Lane (the ladder anyway).

Yeah, I should have waited and had a triple feature of this, Don't Breathe and Bad vs. Worse, since they all have the exact same plot, but oh well lol.

Dead. That is the same plot as Don't Breathe.

I may watch this, since I like the concept (apparently tons of filmmakers do. Lulz) and Jared said it's okay.

Puppy, just because there's no evidence she killed her aunt doesn't make her dating material.

This was really fun<3. I actually think the characters in this had more personality and 'spark' than some of the ones in Don't Breathe which is definitely not something I was expecting from this. It's also a bit more entertaining and crazy than Don't Breathe but Don't Breathe is a MUCH better film when it comes to suspense, location, and story. If you're in the mood for "Don't Breathe Lite", I recommend this. If you want a dead serious "home invasion film flipped on its head" type of thing, go for Don't Breathe or Intruder/Shut In instead. ;)

The characters were totally entertaining but yeah, more of them should've died. A film with such a small cast shouldn't

I liked them enough to not care but I still wish we'd gotten a couple more kills/characters. Maybe another female character or two?

I could've sworn I reviewed this film already. It's weird. Same goes for Monsterland and a couple others I've reviewed this week. It's like my posts are vanishing! (grave)

But yeah, this was enjoyable. Definitely give it a watch but don't expect anything ultra violent, anything that's a game-changer for this kind of film, or anything that will linger with you or make you scream or make you die laughing (okay, SOME parts of this were really funny but...).

6/10 quality, 7/10 entertainment.
