Empire State of the Dead consists of 7 short stories produced and set in New York State, all directed by New York State filmmakers. It includes a series of wraparound segments (and one big finale) tying them all together into one epic feature motion picture detailing the early stages of a zombie outbreak.

This sounds kind of cool. I am getting bored with zombies, to be honest, but the fact that it's done by several different New York filmmakers is kind of cool, and I guess that means that New York will be a weird star of the entire film put together.

Sounds interesting. An anthology of several connected stories, all made by different directors, does sound hard to pull off, though.

Yeah. It's hard for anthologies with different directors to not be a total mess.

You might've been thinking of Empire Of The Dead, lol. That's what this made me think of.

I found a couple of reviews from The Rotting Zombie and Horror-Movies.ca, and it looks to be about what I expected from the trailer. Very low-budget, and some of the segments are definitely better than others, but still worth checking out for zombie fans. The idea of the Mafia trying to take over during a zombie apocalypse (the subject of the wraparound story) is also one you don't normally see; that sounds pretty interesting.
