Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Welcome to Monsterland! A terrifying place where savage beasts, carnivorous creatures, and grotesque abominations are the new normal; and the human race is now at the bottom of the food chain.

I really love that poster. It's gorgeous.

This is a many-times-used plot, but I love it regardless. I just hope the film does a lot of world-building before any real horror shit starts to happen. Maybe at least 45 minutes of just world-building.

If it is randomly added to Netflix or even shudder I'll watch. I love watching random and probably dumb horror anthologies

I'm just relieved one exists. I remember when Zetaboards' searches didn't work at all

Puppy, just because there's no evidence she killed her aunt doesn't make her dating material.

It works SOMETIMES. (lol) The search feature has definitely improved over the last year or two but it's been acting up this month. It said we didn't have threads for Sacrifice, Monsterland, and a few other things.

Still not as bad as two years ago when the search feature tried to tell me that we didn't have any threads for the Friday The 13th movies though, wtf.

So this is one of the horror anthologies that seemed to just get previously made shorts and put them together. I saw what was supposed to be one of the better ones Stay At Home Dad and didn't like it very much. So I'll probably just pass

This was definitely not anything too special but it was at least better than Zombieworld, not that that says much. I probably should've reviewed this when I first watched it since my memory of it is already super foggy (don't judge - I've watched over 60 films since this one (lol) ). Some parts were enjoyable, others flat out SUCKED, other chunks were boring as Hell. I didn't hate any of the segments but I certainly didn't love any of them. The last one was a blast though. It was clear that it wasn't meant to be taken seriously and it was almost like a hilariously bad (deliberately so) SyFy film condensed into an anthology segment. It would've been repetitive and would've worn out its welcome as a full length film but as a segment? It worked. It was definitely the most memorable of the lot even if it wasn't memorable for the RIGHT reasons! (lol) One really positive thing about this is that unlike some anthologies, there's a great variety with the segments. None of them really blended together but none stuck out as anything too amazing which stops me from REALLY liking this. It's enjoyable. It's worth seeing more than once but I recommend buying it instead of blind-buying it since it seems like a love-it-or-hate-it thing. But I'm probably wrong since I just...don't feel strongly about it either way. Fun moments, shitty moments, but overall it's just kind of there. *shrug*

4.5/10 quality, 6/10 entertainment.
