Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

In Kansas, the friends Keith and AJ are trying to join the best fraternity in the university. Their pledge is conditioned to the presence of a stripper to entertain the veteran's members of the fraternity. They need transportation to go to the city to hire a stripper, so they invite the boring Duncanto go with them in his car. They arrive in a bar called "After Dark Club" and sooner they realize that the place is a nest of vampires, leaded by Katrina.

This flick was all the rage back in 9th grade but as I've never been all that big a fan of vampire flicks, I never bothered with it. Until years later when my kid's mom, fully aware of my horror film addiction, thought she'd surprise me one night and came back with a huge stack of movies on tape (it was 50-cent rental night at the local video store). This one was among them, so I kind of felt obligated to check it out. Glad I did. It was more entertaining than I was expecting it to be, in that camp/cool, only-in-the-80s kind of way.

I don't know why I haven't watched this sooner, it was a total blast. I also wouldn't be surprised if From Dusk Til Dawn was slightly inspired by this.

Grace Jones scared the hell out of me looking the way she does on the poster lol. I'm glad she didn't look like that during the entire movie lol.

Grace Jones makes this movie. I skipped a couple of scenes in the middle the last time I rewatched this. It's a fun movie, but she needed to be in every scene.

I finally saw this recently, pretty good 80's horror comedy with great make-up effects.
