![]() “Four friends having their annual Fall break party decide to rent some horror tapes from a local ma and pa video store. After witnessing their missing friend brutally murdered in one of the films they launch an investigation that leads them into the bizarre and sadistic underground world of snuff filmmaking. Not for the faint of heart!“ |

This sounds pretty interesting. I like when movies like this that have an 'investigation' aspect are touched off by something directly involving the characters instead of just 'nosy people getting involved with something they have no business getting involved with.' I hope it's good. |

Sounds interesting and upsetting. Not sure if I'll like it through with the snuff elements being involved. |

The trailer is up on youtube, and it reminds me of something like "Jennifer Help Us" where it looks like it was done on a lower budget, or was filmed with iPhones (but not in a bad way). The movie itself might be up somewhere if you look around, especially on vimeo where I first heard of it. |

Since it involves snuff films, I don't really mind that it's super low budget. That might actually help it since a glossy type of movie depicting snuff films could be a disaster, lol. I'll still check this out sometime.

Here's the trailer for it (or at least one of them). I personally hate it, since it looks super cheap and doesn't do the movie justice--if it's good. If I had to name one good thing about it, it's how they showcase a ton of shockumentary VHS tapes like "The Many Taboos of Death". That's pretty awesome, and I'd love to know if they were borrowing them from someone for a few scenes, or if it's part of a collection from one of the crew members. Either way, that's pretty boss. |

Haha! I really enjoyed making this film To answer Jethro, it's a REAL video store in Norfolk, NE called "Chris Logan's Call Video". It's still open, and that VHS section with shockumentaries was the real deal. It was NOT shot on cell phones, it was shot on a Nikon D7000. It was reformatted to 1.33:1 fullscreen since it was intended for a VHS release (which happened, by Nemesis Video). It's now long out of print.
