Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Based on True Events surrounding Eastern Air Lines Flight 401 that crashed in the Florida Everglades December 29, 1972. 101 people lost their lives. This book explores supposed paranormal events involving the salvaged wreckage of the aircraft, and ghostly sightings of Donald A. Repo, 401's flight engineer.

Sorry, I wasn't really sure what to classify this as. The paranormal events are debatable, with former Eastern Air Lines CEO (and former Apollo astronaut) Frank Borman calling the book "garbage."

The events were adapted into two TV movies. CRASH (1978), starring William Shatner. And THE GHOST OF FLIGHT 401 (1978), starring Ernest Borgnine. I watched the Borgnine film on youtube last year.

I bought the book at a thrift store, but have yet to read it.
