Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Inspired by true events, two sisters are trapped under the fiberglass cover of an Olympic sized public pool and must brave the cold and each other to survive the harrowing night.

Here's a fairly decent interview with the director of 12 Feet Deep: https://1428elm.com/2017/06/16/12-feet-deep-director-matt-eskandari-chats-1428-elm/

Seems like a good companion to 47 Meters Down and Open Water 3. I'm guessing it won't beat 47 but it'll probably be bettee than OW3.

I really liked this, but I'm biased because I spend a lot of time in an Olympic-sized pool. If you're a swimmer, you've talked about what would happen if you got trapped under the cover. This movie is answering a what-if that I've been contemplating since elementary school. It was really effective at putting me in the characters' shoes. I actually felt my muscles activating in a few scenes. There isn't enough plot to fill a movie, but I never felt like they were adding stuff just to make it longer. All three leads give a good performance, and Diane Farr is especially good.

I liked how they used Tobin Bell, too.
