Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

A nurse, a policeman, a young married couple, a salesman, and other survivors of a worldwide plague that is producing aggressive, flesh-eating zombies, take refuge in a mega Midwestern shopping mall.

I remember that security guard was a douche and I didn't really like him at all. The nurse I liked and some of others I liked as well. There was one other guy I didn't like very much I forget his name.

Hmm what kind of person was the other one you liked? Probably Steve XD There were a few people I didn't really care for here but they all had their good moments.

I still think Monica should've been given more to do, she seemed so last minute and extra.

Ana, Norma and Steve. <3 Day of the Dead used to be my favorite zombie film but this is my number one. This film is absolutely amazing from start to finish and I can't find a single flaw in it. Terrific performances with some great dark humor. When the film gets dark, it really does get dark. The character development and chemistry between every character is phenomenal so it's upsetting when one character dies even if you hate them. The gore is high, the acting is great, the characters are awesome and this is just a terrific horror flick. 10/10

Also, the scene with Chips scared me so much. Maybe it's because I'm a huge dog lover. </3 :(

You should watch the original Dawn (and Day Of The Dead '85) before this. Maybe see Land, Survival and Diary before this as well. :P Then see this and the 1990 Night Of The Living Dead. (thumbsup) Just make sure you see all eight. Fuck the other NOTLD and Day Of The Dead remakes and spinoffs, ew.

Viooz is always being a bitch on her period. Try Putlocker or YouTube. Or just buy it since it's like $0.01 on Amazon. :P

Buying it is totally worth it. Tbh, getting the Unrated and R-Rated versions is worth it even though they're sold separately from eachother. One has a commentary and 30 min of making of gore effects things, deleted scenes, and other goodies. The other has a commentary, 25 min of different interviews, deleted scenes and other things. It'd be like...$10 for both of them, at the very most. But yeah, see the others in the original series first, even though three of the "Dead series" films were made AFTER this. :P

An excellent remake. If I was going to introduce somebody to zombie movies, I'd probably show them this one. Love the ending!

This is always one of the first zombie films I show to 'horror newbies.' :P The last thirty five minutes or so (from the death of Bart in the parking garage onward)....holy shit. O_O Monica and Norma still got my favorite kills though. Nothing like an older woman gunfighting with a young man holding a dead baby, and an elderly gay man accidentally killing someone with a revved up chainsaw, haha. Odd how my favorite kills here were committed at the hands of living people and not the zombies. That makes me think that the makers of this would craft an AMAZING slasher film if they put as much effort into it as they did this awesome film. (thumbsup)

When it comes to the political/social commentary, the first is better. Its also a lot more lighthearted than this one is.

Sucks you saw the cut down version on TV. On TV its like...20 minutes shorter than the Unrated version on DVD. :P

Well the Unrated DVD is SUPER cheap now (like...$4 or less in most stores and websites) and its pretty easy to find so if you ever want to see everything that you missed, you shouldn't have much of a problem tracking it down. :)
