Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Hell yeah. I need to brush off my copy again soon to revisit it. I wonder if I still have this old copy of the news bulletin on a CD I made a few years ago.

Really excited to watch the little documentary and storyboard comparisons on the Best Buy DVD. For years I had thought I'd seen all the features that existed. :P

You look back at 300, Watchmen, Man Of Steel and you cant possibly believe that Zack Snyder directed this.

Still for me definitely the best horror remake ever.

Yeah, and that's not even counting the random zombies that weren't living characters to begin with O_O That would bring it to at least 70, I bet. :P Next time I see it, I'll count how many random zombies get 'killed.'

The only good things about this were the few cameos from the orginal.
You kill or you die. Or you die and you kill.

Some movies, you just /should'nt/ remake.
You kill or you die. Or you die and you kill.

How come though? After all nothing is perfect and hardly anything is really original, even films which are 36 years old. I'd understand the dislike alot more had they tried to duplicate the original, but they changed things big time and made this something that can stand on its own. It's not a copy or anything. There's no pleasing most though. Sad fact is that horror fans hate when things are similar but they hate when things are different just as much :p

I realise that, since the orginal started in a TV studio and the remake in a hospital.
You kill or you die. Or you die and you kill.

And the remake had fast moving zombies, more gore, an entirely different plot, seventeen characters instead of just four, different escape method, etc. :P Seriously, the title and mall setting are the only things the two Dawns really have in common, which is awesome imo since like I said, duplicating the original would've been a huge mistake. They were wise to go in their own direction with it and they ended up cranking out one of my favorite movies ever by doing so.

Good<3. It's amazing. (goo) Be sure to watch the 1 hr 49 min. long Unrated version. The 1 hr. 40 min. long theatrical version is still pretty gory but not as nasty as the Unrated (which also has a few minutes of character development scenes that I like).
