Nica (Fiona Dourif) is grieving over the gruesome suicide of her mother when her domineering older sister Barb (Danielle Bisutti) arrives with her young family in tow to help settle their mother’s affairs. As the sisters butt heads over Nica’s plans for the future, Barb’s young daughter comforts herself with a grinning, red-haired talking doll named Chucky (voiced again by Brad Dourif) that recently arrived mysteriously in the mail. But as a string of brutal murders begins to terrorize the household, Nica suspects the doll may hold the key to the bloodshed. What she doesn’t know is that Chucky has a personal score to settle. He’s determined to finish a job he started more than 20 years earlier, and this time he’s going to see it through to the bloody and shocking end.

I thought it was just a whole remake of 1. If its a sequel they should mention Andy in it.

Hmm, the trailer definitely exceeded my expectations. The thing that stood out to me the most was how visually appealing it looks. I wasn't a fan of Chucky's "CGI" effects at parts, but maybe it's just because we aren't used to having a modern Child's Play film with today's effects, it's been almost ten years. I definitely will be picking this up though when it hits shelves, but I'm not raising my expectations too high.

Glad you aren't complaining about chucky's looks. I agree the cgi does look weird but I do think it's because none of us are use to it in a chucky movie. I think they will use the cgi for the best. And not over do it. It doesn't seem like they will overdo it.

I will get annoyed if they use cgi effects on the killings too much like wrong turn 3 or The final destination. But I doubt it, one of the killings is obviously poison since you see chucky looking at the rat poison.

I hope we get the character vomiting blood and guts.

And yeah hopefully the deaths will be more so practical.

Lol I don't really trust that.

Remember...on the special features for Texas Chainsaw 3D, and interviews for The Final Destination and Wrong Turn 3, they mentioned how they 'didn't like using CGI and were using more practical effects than some other entries.' LolNo.

She's just an actor, it's not like she was the maker of the movies. So I do believe what she said. If it was the director however, i would think otherwise.

I've always liked the Chucky franchise, and I'm looking forward to Curse, as well. I've never had an out-and-out problem with any of the sequels, and the fact that Curse is heading straight to video is kinda sad. But I'm a huge "go to the movies" kind of gal. All in all, I'm pretty excited.

I most likely have to get it around oct 10 when I get my school check so a few days after the release. Ugh. If I do have enough money to last me then I might be able to buy it the day it releases.

If I have to buy it a few days late, I'm not going to look in this thread till i see it <_<
