Nica (Fiona Dourif) is grieving over the gruesome suicide of her mother when her domineering older sister Barb (Danielle Bisutti) arrives with her young family in tow to help settle their mother’s affairs. As the sisters butt heads over Nica’s plans for the future, Barb’s young daughter comforts herself with a grinning, red-haired talking doll named Chucky (voiced again by Brad Dourif) that recently arrived mysteriously in the mail. But as a string of brutal murders begins to terrorize the household, Nica suspects the doll may hold the key to the bloodshed. What she doesn’t know is that Chucky has a personal score to settle. He’s determined to finish a job he started more than 20 years earlier, and this time he’s going to see it through to the bloody and shocking end.

Eek, that's a shame. X_X I was hoping it'd at least be the 2nd or 3rd highest count lol.

Nope. Two of the deaths are really good though.

I don't mind low bodycounts as long as the kills are good.

I'm watching this tonight. Will post my review in the morning all!

It's just disappointing hearing that only two of the kills are great. I was hoping we'd get 7-10 deaths with at least 3 or 4 stand-out kills.

One good thing though is that this is the LONGEST film of the series at 1 hr 37 (beating out Child's Play 3 - the previous longest film by SIX minutes).

Bride and Seed BOTH had 12 kills (including roughly 4 offscreen kills in both) so having ten kills in the LONGEST film of the franchise is NOT a stretch by any means.

Like I posted, here's the bodycounts;

CP1: 5 kills in 87 min
CP2: 7 kills in 84 min
CP3 : 7 kills in 91 min
Bride: 12 kills in 89 min
Seed : 12 in like 87 min

Curse SHOULD have had at least NINE kills if no more.

Brad is Chucky. No one could ever replace him unless they radically changed the character.

Probably wait SEVERAL years and do a reboot that radically changes the personaility of the character and maybe the look as well. Because there's no way they'd be able to give us the Chucky we all know and love without Brad.

There are just some people you can't replace and expect audiences to still go with it. Some actors ARE the character and they made them everything that made them who they are and what made them popular. No Brad = No Chucky. Same with Robert Englund as Freddy.

You've got a good point about the audience mate. Never thought of that because im always pissed if they replace characters because im used to them

Watched it three times now. Love it. Went back to the basics without ignoring Bride and Seed. A few minor gripes (like the Good Guy voice being different) and until you actually see Brad Dourif up close in flashbacks I thought they had recast Charles Lee Ray. Loved the ending and the post credits scene, even though they don't really fit together.

Probably my fourth favorite of the six. AND I LOVE ALL SIX MOVIES.

If they replace an actor in an iconic role, then it's not going to mean anything to me. Some are okay like James Bond or Batman, but not Chucky or Freddy. Once that happens, then they are not "my" characters anymore, you know what I mean?
