Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

In this remake of the original classic film, a group of people are trapped inside a farmhouse as legions of the walking dead try to get inside and use them for food.

Another great remake. That said, it still doesn't hold a candle to the original IMO.

I don't think ANYTHING can. But this is definitely one of my favorites. I'm a huge Tony Todd buff.

I thought this was a decent remake. It doesn't even come close to the original 1968 film, but it's still pretty good.

The shirtless zombie that shotgunned, yikes! I loved the look of the zombies and the fact that more violence was thrown into the mix. I also liked the new Ben and the new Barbara more than the original's Ben/Barbara, despite the fact that Barbara 2.0 was a tad unrealistic. Those are the only things I liked better than the original.

However...some of the effects looked like shit (Johnny's head against the stone, anyone?), Judy Rose was new levels of annoying, and a couple of others felt borderline pointless (Helen for example, was way more memorable in the original).

This is definitely a solid remake. Tweaks to the end and some of the characters definitely worked to modernize the classic.

Actually my favourite zombie movie. I couldn't handle weakass predictable Barbara, liked this one more. The effects are better and it doesn't let up. Several memorable characters.

Urgh yes X_X She's the only character I didn't like at all. Her actress didn't bother me too much since I have a feeling she was TOLD to scream obnoxiously. I'll have to see her in other things to fully judge her though. As it stands, the actress > the character/writing for her lol.

Loved everyone else though. New Johnny, Ben, Barbara, AND new Sarah all beat the originals. I just wish Helen had been better here. She was one of the highlights of the 1968 film but I felt she was robbed here. </3
