When a bumbling pair of employees at a medical supply warehouse accidentally release a deadly gas into the air, the vapors cause the dead to re-animate as they go on a rampage through Louisville, Kentucky seeking their favorite food, brains.

My all time favorite zombie movie. I instantly fell in love with the characters when I first saw it. Trash was the first chick...nevermind won't get into that. :-P lol. The acting is actually top notch for this kind of film. Brain eating is introduced (and with a far better reason than other zombie movies give). Frank and Freddy, Burt and Ernie, their interactions are priceless and really drive the movie home. The gang is awesome alos, protecting each other the way they know how. Very loyal, each with their own style.

10/10

This movie is GREAT! Solid 9/10 for me. Surprisingly sad moments (the ending, nooooo lol D:), shocks in the who lives and dies department, some amazing deaths and special effects, cool and memorable characters, hideous and gross zombies that TALK (!!), and a fun, comedic atmosphere that balances well with the horror.

I also give it a solid 9/10. It made zombie movies fun but kept a good scare factor. And don't get me started about Trash.... grrrrrrr

A great movie. I loved all the characters, they were all very unique. Frank is my favorite character. Freddy and Frank's reactions when it first happened is hilarious and it brought me in. Both did great acting. I did like all the punk kids. My favorite punk kid is suicide. Tarman is so cute.

Just finished watching this for the first time. Not too bad, definitely found myself laughing through most of it. The zombies talking caught me off guard, and the first decapitation attempt made me laugh out loud. Definitely one of the better horror comedy movies I've seen, especially from the 80s. Freddy, Spider, and Ernie were my faves out of the cast.

I'm soooo sick of zombies these days (in fact, with the exception of THE WALKING DEAD -- a show I love to watch with my family -- I'll usually immediately have no desire to see a movie the second I hear it's about zombies), but this one ranks among my Top Five Favorite Movies of All Time, in any genre. It's definitely my favorite zombie film. I was lucky (and old -- LOL) enough to see it in the theater way back in the day, and I'll never forget it.

A classic.

love this film, i remember seeing it at a very young age and loving it.

Also had the privilege of seeing it on the big screen during a Halloween marathon.

Plus it has Clu Gulager from Nightmare 2, Tommy Jarvis from Jason Lives, and Linnea Quigley Scream Queen!!
