Tried watching this and while I'm glad they finally edited this and "completed" it- it's a mess. Meh, I expected better. Quality was horrid.

I have only seen the 30 minutes or so of this that were included on an extra disc in the trilogy boxed set and I forgot all about it. I may order the full edited-together film though just to add it to my collection and because the cover is pretty awesome.

I'm just surprised at how horrible the quality of everything was. I thought they would have really cleaned it up. Still the cover IS sexy and it is for the most part a glorified fan edit.

I don't know if I should call this Grizzley 3 or a clip show.

I'd give my opinion, but I'm worried someone who helped make this film would show up and bite my head off. Anyone notice that? The people I've noticed who are most defensive about this "movie" are the creators.

There's too little new footage, and what they do have is too nonsensical to even qualify as a short film, and what's worse is the footage from the first three are done so randomly this movie can't even be considered a quick way to skim through the earlier films. At least with the clip film anime ROBOTECH: LOVE LIVE ALIVE, you can pretty much get through the entire New Generation saga of the TV show in about 90 minutes.

That's the thing I don't like either. It does nothing to move the story along and was really just fan service in the form of a really bad clip show. They should have let this rot in peace and just focused on Berserk.

I haven't seen this, but from what I've heard, what they originally had planned was a bit darker than 2 and 3, in particular... I wonder if it could have been good, or at least better than Return.

Yeah, that's from what I remember. It's a shame Double Helix went bankrupt during production and it never got completed.

So apparently the folks at SleepAwayCampFilms.com are planning a Blu-Ray release. They say with new features, but this movie isn't worth it. Films like these are better suited for double features or collection sets.
