![]() It's summer camp as usual at Camp Manabe where the kids torment each other for fun while the underpaid camp staff provides as little supervision as possible. Greedy camp owner Frank and junior partner Ronnie do their best to keep everyone in line, but something sinister is about to put a slash in the roster. When campers and staff mysteriously begin disappearing and turning into gruesome corpses, paranoid Ronnie can't shake the memory of a series of grisly murders that took place at Camp Arawak, where he worked two decades earlier. Has a ghost from the past come back to haunt him? As the paranoia worsens, Ronnie's list of possible killers starts growing just like the body count. Everyone becomes a suspect from vicious kids to shady members of the camp staff, and even former Camp Arawak camper Ricky who mysteriously works nearby. Who is knocking off these victims and why? Only one thing is for certain, something is carving a bloody new trail at Sleepaway Camp where kids can be so mean and surviving this summer is gonna be a real killer! |

Such potential wasted. After five years of delaying the release you would think they would have worked out the kinks and made it better. The beginning is so awkward and lame and things move way too fast. Everything begins to move a little slower in the middle and that's when I really started to enjoy it. But that ending completely killed it for me. It was too abrupt and too stupid. This movie also needed way more deaths. The few we did get though were great. The stick through the eye- ouch! Return really does have a lot of potential but the horrible and awkward first act and horrid ending kills it for me. |

This film had a lot of potential as said above but I strongly dislike it. Unlike a lot of people, I hate Alan. Everything about this film was awkward and bland. The best things about this film were the kills, and maybe only two or three of them were enjoyable. |

I can't believe how people say Return would be horrible without Alan. 1. It already is horrible. 2. Alan is horrible. |

As bad as this is (and believe me, it's godawful), I actually like how cheesy and dumb the kills are. I also really liked Issac Hayes' cameo as The Chef.

Off the bat, Alan is the most unlikeable, most irritating lead character ever!!! That aside, this movie is sort of like the TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D of the series. It's got ideas I like, hot leading ladies, but it's just so stupid and poorly written I can not believe this film is real. I know it was made by the same writer/director as the original, but clearly he got rusty. Someone had to tell the guy this film was crap. Thisprobably could've been so much better if there was a second writer. |

The only thing good about this? The kills. It should have had more gore but they reminded me of the kills from the trilogy. Just...beyond stupid but also really hilarious.

Yeah, if you know who certain people are--the twist is obvious and it's disappointing really. It feels like they made no attempt to make who the killer was a mystery. |

I don't blame you if you decide against it. As OCD as I am when it comes to franchise marathons, I never feel guilt if I decide to just watch the original trilogy instead of all of them. |

Return did feature 3 great kills though- The bunkbed kill The Pole through the eye(That's one of my favorites in the series tbh) The car kill All three were nicely done. Other than that the body count was EXTREMELY slow. I might do another re-watch of this as I've only seen it twice. It's still a stain on the franchise. |
