Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

A former summer camp caretaker, horribly burned from a prank gone wrong, lurks around an upstate New York summer camp bent on killing the teenagers responsible for his disfigurement.

The boy's face ruins it. What was the thread cover made for then if it wasn't a DVD one? Wait I think it was a T shirt.

Pretty solid movie. It's not high on my list, but there is some good Tom Savini work here and the scenery. Entertaining enough.

Go figure this review is more renown for its movie poster than the movie itself. No suprise there. Whenever a movie is more known for its advertisement than actual showing, there's a problem

Too much of a Friday the 13th knock off.

Surprised no one mentioned this was Jason Alexander's entrance into modern entertainment.

Michael Meyers isn't some sound bite. He's a killer shark in a baggy ass jump suit!

Can't say I was too impressed by this when I saw it some time ago. It had a couple of okay deaths and I liked the killer and setting, but it was just too slow for me.

One of the best 80's slasher flicks in my opinion.

This movie really creeped me out and not even the outrageous amount of daylight could spoil the dark and creepy atmosphere.

I might get lynched here, but when I read that this and Friday came out around the same time (and that this one was allegedly written first--but who knows), I was kind of disappointed that Friday got a franchise and this was forgotten. I thought this was ten times better than Friday (which doesn't scare me at all) but I agree the death count was really low. I just think everything else made up for it. 9/10

Well the killcount is the same as the counts of the first two Fridays (10 each). The problem here is that we went thirty minutes without a kill, then another fifteen minutes without a kill (where five deaths occurred), got two more standalone kills, and then none for a while. If we'd gotten one more murder during that long 30 minute gap, and one more in the last 25 minutes, it'd be fine. :P

Really loving the disc menu and all. However, I do NOT love the fact that this carried over the same exact commentary and the same "Blood N' Fire Memories" featurette that was on one of the previous DVD releases. That said, the cover art is great (gotta love the reversible sleeve!) and there are a few other goodies that weren't on previous releases. I'll be posting the exact timings of the movie, commentary and all of the features soon. (thumbsup)

Movie: 1:31:30
Commentary #1: 1:31:30
Commentary #2: 1:31:30
Blood N' Fire Memories: 18:00
Slash & Cut: 12:05
Cropsy Speaks: 11:20
Summer Camp Nightmare: 6:45
Behind The Scenes Footage: 7:55
Trailer: 1:25

The previous edition had the movie (duh), ONE commentary, the trailer (I think), and Blood N' Fire Memories, so this is DEFINITELY worth picking up, especially with the additional commentary.

And Derek....it only cost me like five bucks. I'm sure you've spent WAY more on some stupid shit. ;)

Mhm :P Only weird thing is that the discs and case artwork (got the combo pack) came in a big black standard DVD case so I had to swap it out with one of my empty bluray cases. Other than that, it was perfect. I guess the bluray case the seller bought got busted up so they had to put it in a regular DVD case.

lol I don't HATE it completely. But like I mentioned, other than a few scenes it was pretty damn boring. A lot of missed opportunities too.
