After a group of teenagers indirectly cause an old witch to be burned, they accidently revive Pumpkinhead. This time Pumpkinhead is inhabited by the soul of a deformed orphan killed 30 years before. He goes on a bloody rampage after his tormentors and the teenagers. Meanwhile, a local sheriff tries to solve the mystery and stop the murders.

I really liked this, and I was surprised at how good it was considering it was a direct to video film from the 90s lol. Some of the characters were more memorable and from what I can remember, some of the deaths were far better than those in the original.

I liked this one. It's not as good as the original, but it's entertaining.

I always liked this movie, too. Not as good as the original but still entertaining. I liked that it went in a different direction than the original and didn't try to copy it. Very underrated for sure.

This movie was so cheesy and stupid but I still had a decent time with it. The teen characters are amongst the dumbest I've ever seen. The acting was attrociois and I've seen better writing on the walls in the men's locker room. The first while cheesy had a classy little charm about it- this lacks that same charm. Still you have some decently gory kills and Pumpkinhead looks great although he was much more ferocious in the first. 5/10

The kills and a few familiar actors made this for me. :P I agree about the acting and a lot of the writing though. I'm just glad that, like you said, Pumpkinhead looked great. The death order was mostly satisfying. And two of my four favorites survived so I was pleased. I liked this more as a kid than I do now.

I'm a glutton for punishment. Never been a fan but for some stupid reason I attempted to watch it again last night. I am now dumber for the experience. Don't know why they felt the need to give Pumpkinhead a new backstory, when the first film has one of the best in the genre

At end of the first movie, I wonder , how have they sequel to this movie? ,

Well I liked the start of this movie as we see Back story to Pumpkin head, who was deformed as Child, (Which dose look a tiny bit like Victor from Hatchet) the some nasty drunken teens come to beat him to death.

I wasn't if this was meant to be sequel or prequel some sort but I don't think it was connected to first movie.

Couple of the years later, when those teens are know in Mid 30's or older and another teens go night out end up bring back the Pumpkinhead after hitting the witch with car and stealing the spell book.

As movies goes you can't help but hate everyone in this movie, (Expect for once a Good cop in horror movie, I was shocked) and I wanted there death to pain full but they didn't look as gory but still bit more bloody then first movie.

These men just standing there like stupid people with this creature killing there friend in front of, rather then run away, they stay in the same stop, looking and waiting for me to kill next.

Even teens had more brain in this movie, even they one of annoying bunch of teens I have every seen in horror movie and some could of could not even act in this movie, (I felt in school, drama class, even them were better)

Others thing in this movie was those flashing blues were way to much, I hard to watch they, keep doing every time the creature turns up.

I didn't like how the movie ended but it was kind of sad in way, I felt really sorry for Pumpkinhead!

Not good at all but just about watch able,

4 out of 10

Phew. Others here don't care for this either, ha.

I guess I don't hate it since I just bought the bluray.

It's not a terrible movie.

It's just the worst in the Pumpkinhead series.

But now I can't watch any of these movies without thinking of the ghetto black girl Alesia I went to 6th grade with. "I just watched Punkinhead. Man, his head was big like a punkin!"

This sequel bothers me. I enjoy it, but it's probably the worst in the series. It kind of retcons the first one a bit, particularly in the mythology of Pumpkinhead, but it's still an enjoyable b-movie. Just nothing good. The first one is good, and even 3 and 4 are surprisingly quite good, despite the CGI.

If all the other sequels are as bad as this one, I won't bother with the rest of the series. Such a shame too. I really quite enjoyed the original. I will say this though. This one does have better death scenes.
Spoiler: click to toggle
Oh my God is the dialogue and deliveries horrible or what?! Direct-to-Video is too kind.

Really dig this one a lot. It's nowhere near the masterpiece level of the original in my eyes, but it's a very satisfying B-movie with good monster violence and fun characters. I always thought Jeff Burr was pretty undervalued as a director.

I like quite a few of Jeff's films, even the not so good ones, so I agree with you there.
