Stranded on a lonely road, a schoolbus full of high school basketball players, their coaches, and cheerleaders must defend themselves from the Creeper - a flesh-eating ancient beast that resurfaces on the earth every 23 years to feed. Meanwhile, a farmer and his son set out on a personal mission to hunt the Creeper down.

Much better than the original (just my opinion)! The atmosphere was creepy and its location created a decent accent

I didn't really care for this. The death order was pretty unsatisfying. None of the characters were extremely likable, but I think I would have chosen some of the ones that died over the film's survivors. It wasn't bad, but I don't think it measures up to the original.

This is a great example of a sequel being better than a good original. One of the better elements here is the fact that this one has a lot more action to it, which is far better than the first one. It has a lot of cool moments and action set-pieces that easily make it a lot of fun. Among the better parts in the tons of great action scenes include the final twenty minutes, when the Creeper has fully been unleashed on the trapped group and tries to hunt them down while trying to avoid being hunted. That whole sequence is very exciting, as it features tons of many new ideas to trapping a creature that its ingenuity and creativity is really new for these kinds of films nearly triumphs over the fun created from the extensive running, hiding and just-plain frenetic action that occurs as the creature goes about trying to pick them off in the meantime. The opening is a great way of building suspense in the scene as it's one of the creepiest openings as the combination of the setting, the camera movements and the unknown figure seen is really creepy. Still, very few scenes can match the fun of the attacks on the bus stranded on the roadside with this one really getting a lot of suspense from the continuous assaults that really work to a thrilling climax of building terror at the increasingly flimsy manner of keeping it out as the desperation to get away really works well with the copious action within the scenes. Carried over from the first one as well is the series of strong make-up work on the Creeper as he looks as menacing as ever and really evokes quite an air of menace here with the transformations in the later half. The entire plot of this film is perhaps the greatest part of this film. It has one of the simplest plots yet it manages to contain enough great moments and ideas that it holds your attention for the entire running time. There's not a whole lot really bad with this one, beyond maybe a little stronger work to the plot here being that it is so simple and flimsy that some stronger scenes could've been added to help this part out, but otherwise this is such fun that it hardly matters much.

I prefered this to the original, sorry. I loved the bus setting, that was quite original.

I prefer this to the original too, by a fine line. Nothing will be able to beat the first half hour of the first movie, but this movie destroys the remaining hour of Jeepers Creepers 1.

I loved the lighting and the kills were fun. The climactic thrill of the finale with the old man and the creeper was really endearing and it left me wanting more. And boy was that a long wait.

I like the first one better because it was filmed in central Florida and the second did'nt do much for me. But for the last 10 years, they kept talking of the third movie.

True, that's always been one of my main complaints about that one as well, that there was way too many who survived here. I always wanted a few more to get killed here to make it a little closer in quality to the original.

Only a few people in this movie die, and half of the football team characters weren't even characters, but just extras for background shots... It's quite annoying. I expected this sequel to be epic with kids being killed left a right, but it wasn't. Really NO ONE died from the football team or the cheerleaders, really. Only a few did. Quite disappointing.

More people died in the first one, and that one only had two main characters!

The first had eight deaths. This had between ten and twelve. You're incorrect. Of course, 3 or 4 of the deaths in this WERE offscreen. But still.

1; Guy in the bag, male cop, female cop, cat lady, and four prisoners/cops at the jail.
2; Son, Betty, coach #1, coach #2, three teen guys on the football team, old man in the bug truck, random couple in the car, Izzy (possibly killed in the truck crash), Scotty's girlfriend (possibly killed in the truck crash).
Of course, many of the deaths in this totally sucked. So the first still wins in the kill department.

See! That's my point! The deaths in this one were so ineffective that it felt like the first had a ton more and made me make an incorrect statement about said death numbers!

LOL good save. ;)

If I weren't so damn OCD about death orders, bodycounts, etc. I would probably think the first had more deaths too.

I also haven't watched two in like nearly ten years, too, though, whereas I've seen the first many times.

I love the setting for this. A school bus needs to be used more.

I'm glad the new version has so many special features. :) It's such a cool monster series that I think a lot of special features are deserved.

The final girl is terrible. And I still don't know how a character as loathesome as Johnny
Spoiler: click to toggle

That said, I did like this okay for the most part. Most the characters are likeable or interesting/entertaining enough, with my favorite easily being Izzy (or at worst, they're fairly inoffensive and kinda just there sans the two I just mentioned) I do agree with the sentiments that this needed more kills, though. Overall I had fun with it, but definitely not a masterpiece

Puppy, just because there's no evidence she killed her aunt doesn't make her dating material.
