Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

A former Hittite (a member of an Amish-like sect) dies in a mysterious tractor "accident", and his widow is left to face the frightening Hittites who view her as "the incubus" and may have sinister designs on her

I haven't seen this yet, but Shout Factory recently released a blu-ray of it which is phenomenal. I should be picking it up soon. :)

I've been reading a lot of hate for this movie lately. Not sure why. Yeah its a bit slow, but other than that, I cant think of any reason someone might hate it. I still like it *shrugs*

People hate this? Lol. I've read more good things about it than bad things.

Yeah, it's only been recently. Before that, I was under the impression that this was well liked.

That is strange. Oh well. I'm still excited to see it. Glad I didn't watch it on Youtube like I was planning to before I got the DVD.

This is DEFINITELY one of those movies I feel bad for not seeing before 2015. Dark, atmospheric, well paced, beautifully shot, and well executed; this was definitely one of Craven's strongest earlier works in my opinion.
I was weirded out when William randomly went after Faith toward the beginning crying out "INCUBUS!" and things got even weirder from there, with creepy behavior from multiple characters, quite a few well handled red herrings, blood filled milk carton, a fiery vehicle, stabbings, gunshots, spiders (more spiders than usual), snakes in bathtubs (in one of the most squirmy scenes in the film!) and more! This was one of those 'everything and the kitchen sink' films that really went there when it came to its content. We even get an awesome gender-bender-twist that predated Sleepaway Camp by several years!! The deaths, while nothing particularly gory, were violent enough, sudden enough, and shocking enough to be totally satisfying; with a death order that was close to being a 'just pull names from a hat' death order. Sure, we have the obvious leads, but the deaths until we get to them? Perfectly strange order!
The setting here was also pretty great. I loved how isolated it was and how quiet it was even though there were literally dozens of people inhabiting the area. The third act had a few really well written and even betterly (not a word; no fucks given) executed twists that had me on edge and grinning from ear too.

Definitely check this one out guys. I'm SO glad it's gotten a DVD/BluRay release so now more people (like me!) will be able to see it somewhere other than a bootleg, laptop screen, or dusty old VHS tape. Another great one I've watched this month! :)

7/10 quality, 8.5/10 entertainment.
