Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Before I list at least two characters I feel like I can relate to, here's an excerpt of Guillermo del Toro's Golden Globes speech again:
Quote:

“Since childhood, I’ve been faithful to monsters. I have been saved and absolved by them, because monsters, I believe, are patron saints of our blissful imperfection, and they allow and embody the possibility of failing.”

Frankenstein's Monster - The most misunderstood and tragic of all the horror monsters, in my opinion, I feel I can best sum up why I feel a kinship to him with just one gif:

Besides, the old lug was never accepted or loved by someone tailored made for him. His own Eve, if you will.

I understand her repugnance and fright, but still #foreveralone

Columbus (from Zombieland) - I mean, he's shy, socially awkward, in love with Emma Stone (well, he's in love with the character she plays), and he's from Columbus, Ohio. Enough said. I just hope

I have a thing for characters who have had a history of abuse, suicidal tendencies, or substance addiction, not only because of my past but because a lot of my closest friends and relatives have faced those things at some point. (yes)
Suicidal tendencies definitely for me

I think I'm able to relate to most, if not all, of the patients in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors because of that.
