Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

A man decides to turn his moribund life around by winning back his ex-girlfriend, reconciling his relationship with his mother, and dealing with an entire community that has returned from the dead to eat the living.

If you have not seen this film, you need to. Not only is it one of my top ten fave zombie films, it's my all time favorite comedy, ha. All seven of the main characters are well developed, quirky, unique, hilarious, entertaining, and at times VERY sympathetic, with my faves being Barbara, Dianne, and Liz in that order. The guys and Yvonne were still awesome. Before seeing this I expected a lame, bloodless, unfunny comedy. Instead, I got the only comedy film that's ever made me laugh more than just a couple times. It was also very harsh when it came to deaths, despite the over the top nature of them. I cringed when Mary fell onto the pole thing and stood up with that gaping hole. Fucking OW. The effects are also amazing<3. They really didn't skimp out on this one, honestly. The story wrapped up nicely and the entire thing was handled very well. I'm happy to say I have this in my zombie collection<3. 9/10

Shaun of the Dead is a great horror comedy, because it uses the elements of the horror movie to satirize the elements of day-to-day life. It's also perfect for quoting! "I thought we weren't gonna use the Zed word!" The casting, writing, and plot were perfect. The way some of the lines come back on themselves. "Pete! I said, leave him alone!" It's just really tight and handled very well.

Very hysterical! :P I've seen it several times, but I've only just managed to brave the bit where David is pulled out of the window and having his innards pulled out by the zombies. I had to 'watch' that bit with my hands over my eyes..! (wut)

Still beats the atrocious and not-at-all-Horror Zombieland (lol) Deleted your accidental post btw. :P

When I was a little kid I used to watch things that bothered me from a distance.

I showed this to Robby last night. He saw it years ago and pretty much hated it but he liked it a bit more this time. Shaun was his favorite character. Dianne is officially my favorite<3. Our voices sound similar when we're frustrated with someone. I like that. I think maybe I'm just 'growing up' but I was annoyed by Ed the entire time when I rewatched this. (wary) Maybe I'm just so sick of being around people like him in real life that the charm has worn off.
