Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Oh trust me, it IS fun. :P Not meant to be taken seriously at all, and full of over-the-top acting and kills. I'm surprised you haven't seen this already.

Oh my what a good time this was indeed. It wasn't even so bad it was good, it was just good period. I liked how Sci Fi met slasher and it was delicious mixture. The characters were likable enough and the kills were pretty groovy, I especially liked when the guy was thrown off the escalator and the girl had her head blown to bits. The final two were super predictable but I ended up really liking them and caring for them. The movie wasted no time getting right into the action and it had a somewhat subtle sense of humor going on that let us know it wasn't taking itself too seriously so we shouldn't either.

I actually find the plot to be quite creepy. Sure it was outlandish in the 80s but the fact that I can see something like this happening these days added a tiny touch of creep to it all.

9/10- This without a doubt represents what 80s horror is all about.

This also reminded me a bit of Hide And go Shriek- teens spending the night in a department store, having sex, the shy girl getting with the nerdy guy ect. But this is waaaay better than that movie LOL.

I thought the setting was more similar to The Initiation.

I never realized how organized the teens got toward the end and how hard they fought to kill the robots and get out until my third viewing, haha. I give them major props for that. But yeah. The plot is simple and nothing that requires brain cells. A mall has a new security team of robots that malfunction and go on the killing spree as eight teens get trapped inside. It features some impressive kills, not so impressive lazerbeams, decent acting, some cool cameos, a satisfying death order (for the most part...my fave charrie died fifth) and some badass moments courtesy of the teens. It's one of the biggest guilty pleasures ever...and easily one of the best.

Yay for Mary Woronov (bad woman in House Of The Devil, waitress that died in the opening credits of The Devil's Rejects) and Russell Todd (Scott in F13 Part 2, guy in the opening scene of He KNows You're Alone).

I watch this movie at least once a month. It was the first horror film I ever saw thanks to a lazy babysitter. It is just a fun short ride. More horror needs to be in malls, It's a great setting when they're all closed up. I have tracked down as many mall horrors as I could find and this was the best.

Another classic I keep forgetting to check out. Oy, if I find it I'll do my best to cross it off the list.
