Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

Nope, but I bet you did. (un)

And I know, right? I always have a blast with this unless I'm already feeling bored or tired or something.

Not sure if I care about the artwork all that much but this would still be a cool thing to have.

Watched this with some friends and it was a lot of fun. Think it would be a good drinking movie

This is tons of fun. Love the hilarious robots (lol) Characters are fairly likeable too, and the main girl is pretty awesome

Puppy, just because there's no evidence she killed her aunt doesn't make her dating material.

This was a fun little flick. I saw it on cable in high school one weekend. The following weekend we were visiting my aunt and uncle, and it was on again. I kept warning my aunt to look away (she wasn't a horror fan) because the girl's head was about to explode, but she didn't believe me. And then SPLAT! She gasped, all shocked and outraged, and gave me the nastiest look...

Which brings rise to the question, why, when someone you know has seen the movie you're currently watching, would you not believe them when they warn you to look away because something gory is about to happen? The hell, man?

I finally seen this over the weekend. Pretty good, cheesy 80's sci-fi/horror flick
sort of like Robocop and The Terminator in the Mall.

I want the new special edition soooo badly but I'm broke until my birthday. (cry) I keep seeing people on Facebook posting pictures of theirs. I'm burning with envy.

Why is it even more expensive than most Criterion releases though?

I watch this movie at least once a month. It was the first horror film I ever saw thanks to a lazy babysitter. It is just a fun short ride. More horror needs to be in malls, It's a great setting when they're all closed up. I have tracked down as many mall horrors as I could find and this was the best.
I agree. :)
Nah. The original Dawn of the Dead would have to be the best mall horror movie, sorry to say :P

Anyhow, I liked this movie enough. Barbara Crampton is great in it. Definitely played my favorite character.
Spoiler: click to toggle

I was surprised by how little screen time Dick Miller had. His part should have been a little bit bigger. Also, there could have been waaaaaaaaay more kills in this. The robots were fine, but the laser effects were . . . shit, to say the least (thumbsdown)

I love the music.

I definitely wouldn't mind if someone decided to remake this. Maybe Sam Raimi should or perhaps the director of Ex Machina, Alex Garland (yes)

How someone CAN'T get into this is beyond me! It's one of those top tier "king cheese" films, haha.
