The "Boogens" are scaly monsters that look somewhat like giant turtles with lots of sharp, nasty teeth. They are released from an abandoned, boarded-up silver mine in Colorado and proceed to do away with character after character.

This wasn't too bad. A little slow going, but not the worst.

Love this film. Especially the poster artwork for it. The ending was lame though. I have it on bluray and vhs. One of the lead actresses was in Silent Scream and the other was in Prom Night.

Spoiler ALERT:

The creatures looked like stupid walruses with tentacles.

This was more enjoyable than I thought it'd be. I expected it to just be an average thing but instead, it was pretty effective, had a great location (loved that house and the mines), and all but one or two of the characters were likeable. I'm not sure who my favorite is but it's probably either the sheriff or one of the three women. The monsters looked like warped versions of the things from Dark Crystal (forgot what they were called) and the tentacles were quite gross.

There aren't as many deaths as I was hoping for, but the few we got were all really good. There's a bit of blood, some shots from the monsters' POV, some short chases, explosions, and numerous attacks. The only downside is that it takes a long, long while to really get going. We get about 45 minutes with the characters before they start dropping. I didn't mind too much but I probably would've hated the first half of this if I didn't like watching some of the characters so much, lol. The story itself is basic stuff but it works well and the climax was mostly great. I definitely recommend this and I plan on buying it...eventually.

6/10 quality, 6/10 entertainment.
