In a small college in North Carolina, only a select few students are left to take mid terms. But, when a killer strikes, it could be everyone's final exam.

Really? I thought most disliked it because of the slow-ish pacing lol.

The only particularly positive thing I have to say about it is that I managed to get a lot of reading done during it. The kills aren't good enough to make up for the wait, and all the build up was pretty inane. I don't like rating things out of 10, but I'd call it a 2/5.

Did you think the last half hour or so was 'okay' at least? :p

The last half hour wasn't bad. It could have used more blood. It helped that, with the exception of the one girl having sex with the teacher, the plots were dropped in about the order that they bored me.

From most boring to most interesting? :P Like I've said, all this REALLY needed = more blood in the kills, and at least one or two more good standalone kills in the first and second acts instead of having that dry opening and no more kills for a full 45+ minutes. I really think this could use a remake.

Yep. I wanted the fraternity members and the one girlfriend gone first, so that was close enough. The lead character's semi-romantic subplot annoyed me the least, so I didn't mind it being around the longest.

The art studio scenes should have been moved earlier in the film, since those characters disappeared from the movie before anyone was killed.

This film was made at the college I went to, so I love it for that reason. Limestone College is a gorgeous college, and I loved seeing it featured so prominently. I do get a kick out of the fact that the campus is so small, so in the big chase sequence at the end they have to have the girl running back and forth and diagonal because in reality if she picked any direction and ran for five minutes, she'd be off campus.

I do love a slow burn slasher like Halloween, where you get to know the characters before the killings start...they just didn't have interesting characters here.

Haha, that's pretty cool that it was filmed at your college.

I don't recall finishing it. I think I got bored with it too quickly to want to carry on.
You NEVER quit on an 80s slasher, no matter how bad it may be :P But yes, like I said this should've been better lol.
Yeah, I'm terrible for that. Thankfully it's still up so I can pick up where I left off.

(90 minutes later...)

I'm kind of sad that I left this alone for as long as I did. It wasn't as bad as I made it out to be. Sure there are some really slow moments that just seem to drag on, but it's not horrible. It's just alright to me though.

I absolutely love this 1981 slasher film which is a ripoff of Halloween but every film back then was trying to also.

The campus scenery was filmed at Gardner Webb University and was very cool. The characters were cheesy as hell and Wild Man was awesome.

I have it on vhs, dvd, bluray and have 2 horror movie t-shirts of the film. I wish I had a poster for it though.

The killer's motive of course was not known or whoever he was. He might have been dumped by a girl in college or failed or picked on......who knows but it was a cool film imho.

Completely dull and forgettable. Not sure how a slasher as disposable and generic as this is a semi-classic

Puppy, just because there's no evidence she killed her aunt doesn't make her dating material.

I'm about to watch this classic underrated film again. As I said before I love this ripoff of Halloween on a college campus. From what I have read "online" is the guy who played the killer passed away years ago but he was a martial artist too.

Showing this to Robby. I just have the DVD, still. Decided not to buy the bluray since it's the same content.
