Divorcee Susan Jeremy goes to a local Los Angeles county hospital for a routine exam and through a series of circumstances finds herself stranded there while a maniac, dressed in a doctor's surgical mask and clothing, goes around killing all the staff are assoicated with her. Could it be posibly the psycho Harold whom killed a friend of Susan's on Valentine's Day 19 years earlier? If so, who is it since Susan has not seen Harold for all that time and there's no telling who he has grown up to look like.

I still need to get the new Scream Factory release.

I don't mind if it's slow paced, as long as it has cool surroundings and atmosphere and keeps me interested.

So I rewatched this last night on OnDemand, and I'm guessing the transfer they used is from the new Blu-ray, and it looked BEAUTIFUL.

Yeah, it does<3. I still need to watch the full movie on BluRay though but I'm really looking forward to it. It was kind of 'meh' looking on Youtube (not as dark as some others I've watched on there though).

I'm sure if this had been made in 1987 or 1989 we would've gotten those two kills and those old women would've been killed too. (lol) Most early 80s slashers weren't as bodycount-crazy as a lot of late 80s ones. I'm fine with the 10-ish kills in this though.

I have this one on vhs as X-ray Hospital and it was pretty wretched to watch as in acting and characters but I haven't viewed the film in like over 10 years or so. Maybe it gets better with beer lol.

Got the Shout! double feature DVD/Blu-Ray with SCHIZOID.

It's okay, but the constant secrecy of the doctors and nurses gets annoying, refusing to tell the lead what's wrong. The killer tries to make the lead look crazy, and the medical personnel fall for it. I guess it's supposed to be scary, but it gets so irritating to the point were I in that situation, I wouldn't be surprised if I violently fought my way out of the hospital.

All three totally different attempts had technical issues. Two times had problems with corrupt frames. It isn't that uncommon of an issue. If there aren't too many, sometimes you can work around it, but there isn't anything that can be done to fix it without starting all over with a different file. I'm not 100% sure what the problem with the third file was. The error message I got wasn't one that has an explanation that is possible with my operating system or video card. Figuring out what went wrong there was way beyond my abilities.

The fourth time finally worked.

It was definitely better this time than the first time I watched it, so I guess some of the hassle was worth it. It isn't one of Shout!Factory's most amazing transformations, but they did a good job with it. It still would have been nice if it had happened less close to Valentine's Day.

It's an enjoyable enough slasher, even if it is a bit dull. I like a bit of unexplained weirdness, and this movie is good at providing that.

While I agree that it's far from being one of Shout/Scream Factory's best releases, it looks GORGEOUS on BluRay. I'm not as impressed with how polished it is as I am some of their other films but it's definitely a step up from versions of it I've seen before.

I'm watching it now. Probably my fourth (maybe fifth) time seeing it and I'm still liking it. The opening is still pretty harsh even if the violence is offscreen and some of the music reminds me of the music in Friday The 13th (ONLY the first Friday The 13th though).
