Horror Quote Of The Moment

Welcome to Under The Morgue.

We have sections for each decade of film, from the 1910s onward, as well as sections for 10+ major franchises, close to 50 'smaller' franchises (containing five entries or less), creative writing, independent filmmaking, photography, music, Non-Horror films and TV shows, forum games, and boredom busters, and to top it all off there's an IM shoutbox at the bottom of the page for random chat. From the tame and 'kid sister friendly' to the psychological and mindbending to cheesy splatter flicks to hardcore torture-oriented horror, there's something here for everyone, so why not dive in?

A housewife suspects that her seemingly perfect 8-year-old daughter is a heartless killer.

I used to dislike this but I've come to appreciate it. The acting is stellar and I love the suspense!

It's a classic. Rhoda was so deliciously sociopathic and I loved the actress who played the mother. A work of art this one is.

I freaking loved this movie. Wanted to write a remake for it, but dropped it due to unfavorable reviews from the other remake. But yes all above...I agree. Stellar flick.

Quite a few of us have. *Looks up at the majority of the posts here* I saw it years ago and I remember hating the ending but loving pretty much everything else.

The ending I thought was pretty brutal for a movie like this

I've seen this several times. Something about it enthralled me, although I couldn't pinpoint it. I really liked the drunken mother of the boy.

A lot more classy than it should be with the subject, this one still turned out alright despite the fact that it's a lot longer than it really should've been because it has to deal with the classiness of the situation first and foremost. That also makes this one far too long for what it should really be about, and that really tends to be noticed in the beginning where it tends to show the kid off as really being demented with her fake appearance and behavior that is far too sweet for that time-period, but once the death-toll begins to mount, it gets a lot more interesting and fun, even if due to the classy feel and overlong nature, it's still not as over-the-top as it should be. The last half is where it really gets enjoyable with a fantastic finale, but overall this one is just too long to really get anywhere.
Do illiterate people get the full effect of alphabet soup?

Some people are like slinkies: not good for anything, but you can't help but laugh when one falls down the stairs.

This is a 50s camp-horror classic right here.

Not sure if you've heard of the Dom, but he does videos comparing books and the film adaptations. Here's one for THE BAD SEED.
