A hooded psycho killer is going around killing the members of a high school cheerleading squad in a small western Pennsylvania town. While the local sheriff and a federal officer investigate the killings, other going ons around them include a greedy nurse ploting to kill her employer and daughter for a piece of an inherentence while the nurse's creepy son stumbles upon a clue in the killings. Among the various other red herrings include a local biker gang that's suspected in the killings which complicates matters for the police and all the persons involved.

Nice write up! I really enjoyed this one probably because it wasn't predictable.

Um no. Poster totally turned me off.
Judging by movie posters alone, ESPECIALLY 80s slashers, is stupid. X_X

I'm still seeing this even though yeah, that poster is crap.

I didn't even know about this one until last year. I think the guy who played Johnny in "Night Of The Living Dead" directed this.

I wish people here would stop going on and on about damn posters when the films themselves are worth talking about. (eyeroll)

Bill Hinzman was the cemetery zombie in the original Night if I'm remembering correctly. And yes, he directed this.

^ Agreed Mason (about the posters). X_X

Going to be reading the Fangoria article sometime soon. I'll be sure to cover up the spoilery pictures in the article. Old Fangos tended to have death pics.

Just finished this a bit ago and I was VERY impressed. My only issues are that some of the characters (Margaret, the coach woman, the cop guy, the blonde biker-y chick, and Shirley) were VERY underused. Margaret could've easily been the Bitch character of the movie. My other issue is that many of the kills were pretty tame - most were gunshots and throatslashings with a couple of creative ones thrown in. Still, this was very entertaining, with quite a few well done twists, redherrings, and a genuine shock or two when it came to who lived and who died. The ending was a total blast, with over a dozen kills in the third act alone, a lot of the kill scenes were pretty suspenseful and built up nicely, and what's not to love about a guy in tight black leather pants, plenty of female nudity, a shirtless hunk with a gun, a baby-drama subplot, an inheritance plot, a clingy chick plot, and a hot drug pusher guy by the name of Mace? WOO! For the most part I loved this. 7/10 quality. 8/10 entertainment. Both ratings would be higher if the kills had been a bit nastier but oh well, its not bloodless :P WATCH IT NOW!

Some thoughts;

Its great, just don't expect it to follow any typical slasher formula (ESPECIALLY for the last 35 minutes or so, when it turned into a pretty kickass guns-and-revenge sort of flick lol). Great stuff<3.

This movie was everything in one, a perfect blend of thriller and slasher. I liked the kills and the pacing was great, I was surprised at a sudden death of a major character which left me with my mouth opened. This is totally a lost gem. A solid 8/10 from me

Glad you loved it! :D
I really don't get why so many people hate this one, and why it has a 4/10 on Imdb.
