1. Drag Me To Hell- I really hated this ending. It just felt so unneeded to me.

2. A Nightmare On Elm Street 2010- Jesus was that some horrible CGI and while the original mom's death was laughable in the original Nightmare this looked almost as dumb. Just such an awkward ending.

3. Return To Sleepaway Camp- It came way to fast and ended super awkwardly. We knew she was the cop, so damn obvious and yet they end the movie on such a LAMEASS revelation instead of having a decent showdown between Angela and Rick. Next.

4. The Descent 2- Another case of throwing a shock ending in the movie just to have one. Seriously, they really didn't need to have such a lame ending. Just have her survive and leave it at that. I HATE unneeded "shock" endings.

Will post the rest after I think a bit.

I don't know about a top ten, but Jigsaw (2002) had a terrible ending. It just. . .stopped.

This.

The ending in Smiley sucked.

The Devil Inside is an honorable mention.

Scream 4 felt like the ending of Black Christmas (2006) and it was all over the place.

I don't think I can do ten, but here is a few...

Scream 4
Paranormal Activity 4
Salvage (Had potential despite a horrible first 70 minutes, but completely failed)
The Unborn (Could you be any more predictable?)

1. Children of the Corn 2009, like, WTF was that?
2. The Exorcist II: The Heretic, I just don't get the ending.
3. Stephen Kings IT, just didnt pack the emotional punch of the novel's ending and came off quite awkward.
4. The Devil Inside - A URL is not an ending when we don't care about the characters enough to find out what happened.
5. Army of Darkness - Kinda felt like a slap in the face after three movies tbh.

Second part when I think of it.

I agree with everyone who has listed Army Of Darkness, Scream 4, Paranormal Activity 4 and The Descent Part 2.

Smiley's ending takes the cake though. Urgh.

There are many other shit endings but I'm tired and can't think of any right now.

Pretty much all the endings that FORCIBLY throws in one last scare. A lot of time they SUCK and it's so overdone these days.

5. The ending of The Mooring. It was just...random and made me question the whole 90 minutes I spent watching it. It really didn't build to anything.

Sinister - I really really enjoyed this film but that ending.................you know what I mean
Friday The 13th 2009 - so predictable
Jason Takes Manhattan - turning into a little boy, terrible
Cabin in The Woods - just strange

I definitely agree about halloween ressurection
jason goes to hell could've done more.
Evil dead 2. ugh they should've just let ash lose to the deadites or just not sure where the paradox took him

I know what you did last summer and I still know. it was just cheap jump scares. Well I still know was worse since it copied the first film.

The Haunting of Molly Hartley. The ending was the capoff to a gigantic shit cake. It felt like an attempt to be "edgy" that failed miserably.

Paranormal Activity 4. There's a reason why I consider it the worst film in the series, and the lame ending is a big part of that.

The American ending of The Descent, though that's more on principle. The original British cut had a perfect ending, so why ruin it?

The Devil Inside. Just when the movie starts to get good, it cuts off righ- This film's box office success has never been explained. For more information, see your theater's box office and demand a fucking refund.

Yeah for evil dead 2 the mystery would have been far better than the reality.

both the 'summer' endings were pretty terrible, but I enjoyed the first film Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar in the same film, was always going to be watching that!!

To be honest everything about Jason goes to hell for me could've been more like freddys dead it was initially supposed to be the end of the franchise and the films can of made you glad that it was ending.

Final Chapter however was a masterclass in my opinion, and those two films should have followed suit.

Totally wish Army of Darkness kept the director's cut ending, where he wakes up into the future. The S-Mart one is meh.

Totally agree about Scream 4. Originally they wanted to keep it where Sydney's death was ambiguous, and Jill was claimed a hero. That would have been fantastic. They technically do the same thing with how Jill is still being talked about at the end by the reporters, so it's just silly.

But overall, Emma Roberts is a terrible actress and that whole ending could have been saved by someone better. It's kind of laughable to see her try and frame everyone at the end. Movie would have been 300% better without her.

Worst horror movie endings:

1) The Last Exorcism - biggest cop out ever
2) The Devil Inside - second biggest cop out ever (or just a shitty ending in general)
3) I Am Legend - third biggest cop out
4) Halloween 6 (Theatrical cut) - kind of depressing considering what happened to Donald. Should have kept the original. While still grim, not necessarily so... relevant.
5) Friday the 13th Part VII - wut....
6) Any ending with split personalities besides High Tension - it's been done to death
7) Insidious - becomes so silly towards the end after so much awesomeness
8) The Descent 2 - you aren't clever.
9) The Innkeepers - nothing necessarily wrong with it, but it's so depressing and feels disjointed with the rest of the movie
10) Trollhunter - don't get me wrong, I love this movie. But it ends so abruptly, and not even in a fun way. Just like "so...."

I definitely agree about Halloween 6. That's the ending I was pretty disappointed with. I agree they should've kept the original although I would've been sad either way. I just didn't like how loomis ended up in the end. It's pretty weird since he's practically invincible with michael.

I didn't like the ending of F13 7 where her dad comes out of nowhere and helps her. I mean he could've at least looked like a zombie or just really fucked up looking since he's dead.

For the split personalities, i did like the identity ending.

Agreed about Friday 7. And the fact that HIS body would still be in the lake after all these years is stupid. Jason's body still being down there is stupid too but I can at least pretend that they(the crystal lake authorities) decided to keep him chained down there becuase they knew it would be for the best, but Tina's dead? bs.

And they planned to have him all zombified and there's actually a scene with her dad looking like a zombie but they cut it for some reason.
