Two lovable West Virginian hillbillies, are headed to their "fixer-upper" vacation cabin to drink some beer, do some fishin', and have a good time. But when they run into a group of preppy college kids who assume from their looks that they must be in-bred, chainsaw wielding killers, Tucker & Dale's vacation takes a bloody & hilarious turn for the worse.

It's well worth at least five viewing, in my opinion. Excellent kills, perfect balance of humor and Horror (mostly humor but there's some nasty kills so it balances I guess, ha) and some great characters. As a plus, there are several really attractive guys and a pair of people from the cast of Final Destination 3 (thumbsup)

I am in love with this film. Alan Tudyk is amazing. And I think it's a really clever way to do a horror movie in a very un-horror-movie-like-way. Worth the watch if only to see how they deconstruct the horror-hick movie. Sort of like what Rosencranz and Gildenstern Are Dead did for Shakespeare.

Agreed completely. This is definitely better than plenty of other Horror-Comedies out there who either take themselves TOO seriously or not seriously enough, and unlike some of those, it wasn't afraid to show a bit of violence. The cast was also pretty great.

This film was surprisingly great. I thought I was going to hate it but I enjoyed it from beginning to end.

i've seen this a few times. Hilarious. I love it. Similar dark sense of humour to movies like Shaun of the Dead.

Loved it. It's pretty hilarious and all of the kills are great. Loved the twist on the genre and it's probably one of the better films of the last couple of years.

The comedy part has me worried. I think Hatchet is the only horror with comedy that I actually dug.

This is one of the most downright enjoyable, diverting horror films of the last five years. Endearing, bloody tale, that is very well-written and directed. It's basically faultless in how it tell its story; perfect balance of comedy & horror.

The comedy in it had us laughing so much. It's good, twis. It's a spoof on redneck slasher films. Really enjoyable.

Oh wow, I'm surprised. I've been avoiding it but I just might give it a watch now. A great balance huh? Count me intrigued. (yes)
